Central Family Apartment by Buena Vista

Very spacious apartment in the most convenient and central location not far from everywhere.

Towels supplied were too small.Would have been nice if larger for use after showering.

The location was the fantastic and the highlight of the stay. There is access to the roof terrace which has a fantastic view.

The furniture and fittings could be better quality as the wardrobes were falling apart, shower head was faulty and the water pressure in the shower was poor. A bit of extra maintenance would have added a lot to the overall experience.

We really liked the location of the apartmant. The view was great. Balconies were lovely and there was a lot of light in the apartament. Bathroom was clean and big. Also, the big bed was very comfy (solo beds not so much).

Honestly, I didnt like that at one point the agency was asking for my credit card info. They said that it is a normal procedure in order to place the deposit and finish check-in. I refused to share my info and so we found the different solution, but it was really stressful. Furthermore, there was a dirty towel in the apartment and a dirty sponge for dishes.

We loved this apartment, it was ideal for the 4 of us. The location was perfect! The views were stunning, we had acess to all the mod cons; washing machine, kitchen, oven fridge. We ate out most of the time but managed to cook a few meals in the evenings, and watch our favourite movies on Netflix😁! The apartment was central to the whole of Valletta, we were given an extra pair of keys on request as there were 4 of us, this enabled us a lot of flexibility with our travels around Malta. The hosts were co operative with our check in times and communication was smooth and quick. I would highly recommend this place to a family, as there is only a wardrobe partition which separates the 2 bedrooms, which was fine for our family of 4😁

Everything was great!

The taxi driver that greeted us was very friendly and told us a bit about the neighbourhood we were staying at. He also checked us in and explained everything, which we appreciated. The appartment is based in a very good part of the city, there is a functioning elevator and it is very spacious. It was very clean and well equiped. There is always hot water and AC is available in 3 rooms.

We didn't appreciate that they took our credit card info and wrote it on a piece of paper for the deposit, however, they returned the money in a couple of weeks. The towels felt not clean enough. The beds were uncomfortable and noisy.

The location is amazing, and it is very close to all major activities.

Late check-in fee

As a travel agent with my own agency, I frequently book accommodations and rely on clear communication and accurate details for a smooth experience. Unfortunately, my stay at this property in November was far from satisfactory. The check-in process was extremely confusing and stressful, particularly as a solo female traveler. The instructions were unclear, and I couldn’t retrieve the address until I submitted documents and paid a tax, which delayed my check-in. To make matters worse, the address provided by the agency via Google Maps was incorrect, leading me on a stressful and exhausting search up a hill with two large suitcases. When I contacted the agency via WhatsApp for assistance, I had to request photos of the unit to locate it, as the listed address and floor number were wrong. I was told the apartment was on the fifth floor, but it was actually on the sixth, adding further confusion. Once I finally found the apartment, the old door was difficult to open due to a tricky lock, which required specific instructions that were not provided. While the central location was convenient, it was extremely noisy on the weekends, and I struggled to sleep. On top of that, I woke up every night with numerous mosquito bites, despite my efforts to locate and address the issue. Being highly allergic, this was particularly distressing and made for sleepless nights. To add to my frustration, I left behind a designer belt at the unit. After thoroughly unpacking my suitcases and searching my entire home, I could not locate it and am certain I packed it for the trip. I contacted the agency to ask if it had been found, but they claimed nothing was left behind. While I am not directly accusing housekeeping, it’s difficult to believe, given the circumstances. Overall, while the location may be a positive for some, the stress, lack of clarity, discomfort, and unresolved issues I experienced outweigh any benefits. I
