Central Family Apartment by Buena Vista

Perfect location. Sufficient space. Clean. Perfect communication with the landlord.

Millions of stairs to get to the apartment. It is announced as being on the 5th floor, but it is actually on the 7th. No elevator, which was provided as information. With 2 little kids it was not the pleasant most experience to go to the 7th floor.

No intercom, only one set of keys, so someone has to come down 140 steps to the front door to let you in, if you don't go out together.

Excellent location, bright and beautiful view. Modern and comfortable.

The fact that the 2 bedrooms are not physically diveded but there is a set of wardrobes between the double bed and the two single beds. The bed (double) very squeeky.

The location was central and easy to move around Valetta. The interior was spacious. We were allowed to leave our luggage in the apartment until our departure for the airport.

The fact that there were almost 150 steps to climb up and down each time we wanted to get out, not to mention carry luggage or just water was not properly communicated. The small letters notice about the lift out of order is NOT enough. That is the case for almost a year, as we found out from permanent residents of the building! It was a matter of health (cardio, knees) and it ruined our plans. 3 out of 5 days there was terrible noise at 7.20 in the morning from the construction site right next to the building. The air-conditioning in the bedroom was dripping, forming a pond below it, so we avoided turning it on and had to bear the humidity and heat inside. The apartment was full of mosquitos. There was only 1 set of towels available for each person! The explanation "it is a self catering apartment" makes no sense. If you wash the towels, what is to be used until they dry, which would take quite some time, given the humid weather? Last, but not least, the bedroom is one room divided in 2 spaces by a large but not sturdy wardrobe which was shaking and making noises at every step in the room. No privacy at all!

Bright apartment, good location in Valletta

Although listed as 2 bedroom, there is only 1 bedroom divided in half by a cupboard - couples beware! Apartment on 5th floor - 13 flights of stairs to reach it and lift is not working - no mention of either of these on listing at time of booking and no forewarning at any point from Buena Vista who manage the apartment. We complained but there was no apology, (although I notice that since I complained a sentence about lift not working has been added to the listing small print. If you look very hard you may spot it - this should be prominently visible - even the fittest of people would struggle with the 13 flights of stairs).
