Wilpattu Mookalan Resort

Fantastic location, nice bungalows and amazing owners, so friendly and helpful. Best people to organise your safari, getting vehicles near front of queue. The son of owner is a great wildlife spotter. We did one full day in park and one night safari, both excellent. The local curry and rice they cooked for us was excellent, in fact all food good and plentiful. Lots of birds around, elephant walked down the road while awaiting dinner plus lake very close for birds and elephants sometimes. Comfortable beds a bonus, not rock hard like some.

The location is just great as you can walk to a big lake where animals come at dawn. We saw elephants and crocodiles even before our safari. We even had the visit of an elephant during the night. The dinner was prepared with love and was excellent and the safari they arranged was perfect. We were the third car in the morning. No waiting time. Big thank to the staff

Dicht bij het park op loopafstand. De eigenaar en zijn zoon waren bereid alles voor je te regelen. Ze hadden de safari geregeld en we stonden helemaal voor aan in de ochtend. Ideaal dat we er zo heen konden lopen. Heel gezellig en knusse accommodatie, zeer aan te raden.

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits, ils ont organisé un safari pour nous, safari très bien organisé. Emplacement très proche de l'entrée du parc, avec un lac à côté. Nous avons dîné sur place, les repas étaient très bons et copieux. Une famille très accueillante, d'une extrême gentillesse. Merci pour tout !

C'est un détail, les serviettes de toilettes étaient tâchées.

Een fijne locatie vlak bij de ingang van het Wilpattu Park. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en hebben ' s avonds heerlijk gegeten hier. Wij hebben gekozen voor de ochtend safari die vanuit het resort werd geregeld. Een hele dag Safari is ook een optie natuurlijk, maar voor ons gezin was dit een prima start van de dag. Voor ontbijt werd gezorgd!

Minor point: the weird smell upon arrival

In a great location. Rooms basic but all you need The owners cannot do enough for you. They were so lovely. Dad, Leel, has only a little English but really no problem communicating with a great smile. Didn’t meet the Mum unfortunately but she is a great cook. All the food was so delicious And the jeep safari with their son, Nisal, was fabulous. We did see 3 leopards, but ‘see’ not exactly, with old eyes is more difficult However we did see one quite clearly when it came down from being asleep in a nearby tree & sauntered off into the bush. Amazing!! I believe it’s a very rare thing to see one in the wild in Sri Lanka but here you have a better chance to do just that Heaps of other animals to tick off too Crocodile, buffalo, one big bull elephant, mongoose, any number of gorgeous birds

Loved everything

De locatie was fantastisch! Bijna het meer en op loopafstand van de ingang van het park. Kamers zijn ruim en schoon. Ontbijt en avondeten was geweldig! Heerlijk klaargemaakt. Ook super vriendelijke mensen! We hebben ook de safari via deze accommodatie geregeld. Die was ook geweldig! We hebben gelunched aan een meet waar de olifant zich aan het wassen was. Wat wil je nog meer als lunch locatie!

Die Lage ist mega, direkt neben dem Eingang zum Park und dennoch ruhig und mitten im Grünen. Das Zimmer ist mit jeglichem Komfort ausgestattet, es hat wirklich nichts gefehlt, das Bad ist einladend. Die Besitzer sind super lieb, kümmern sich herzlich um das Wohlergehen der Gäste, das Essen ist hervorragend! Ich habe die Ganztagessafari mit Verpflegung über den Besitzer gebucht, war super, würde ich wieder so machen :) Herzlichen Dank für den tollen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt 🌺🍀
