An amazing hotel with exceptional food and the most incredible staff

It was just a shame the communal pool was out of service during my stay due to storm damage but everything else was brilliant.

This visit was very disappointing compared to the five times I came before Covid. If it was your first visit, you might enjoy it—but for those of us who knew it before, the changes are hard to ignore. It’s clear the place is under new management, which explains a lot. The menu is nothing like it used to be—hot chips on a "wellness retreat" menu? The food was bland, uninspired, and inconsistent with what I’ve previously experienced which was exceptional For a vegan-focused retreat, the creativity just isn't there. Hashbrowns on the menu for breakfast? The service also felt disorganised. Staff knocked on my door early in the morning for cleaning, ignoring me when I said I wasn’t ready, and even interrupted a treatment to get me to sign a bill while I was face down in a massage. Meals arrived far too early and were left sitting in the heat, showing little care or planning. I shared my concerns during my stay and, while I was offered a complimentary dinner as an apology, it didn’t come close to making up for the overall decline in standards—especially considering the price. To make matters worse, at checkout a promised discount hadn’t been applied, meaning I overpaid. The treatments themselves were still good, though not nearly as exceptional as in the past. The atmosphere has lost its sparkle. It felt more like a standard 4-star hotel than the peaceful health retreat I once loved. I was shocked to find children and babies allowed, which completely undermined the quiet, restorative environment I came for. On top of that, I visited in August and was kept awake every night by the loud kites flown nearby, which sound like jackhammer above your room. This is a common issue in Bali during this season, but I feel the retreat should set clearer rules to protect guests seeking tranquillity. Sadly, I won’t be returning here—or to Bali. Between the noise, traffic, loss of culture, and inflated prices, it no longer feels like the special place it once was.

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich, sehr persönlich und hat jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Wir waren leider nur 4 Tage da und haben die Zeit sehr genossen, wären gern länger geblieben. Ein Ort um richtig runter zu kommen. Respekt der Küche, das Essen war phantastisch. Wir sind keine Veganer, waren aber von der Umsetzung der veganen Gerichte sehr begeistert. Eine unglaubliche Vielfalt für Auge und Gaumen in einer hohen Qualität. Sehr ansprechend angerichtet. Das Wellnessangebot war sehr gut und zuverlässig organisiert. Die ganze Anlage ist so vielfältig angelegt und ausgestattet, dass die Zeit wie im Flug vergeht.

Nichts, alles war toll

Otel gerçekten harikaydı. Personel inanılmaz güleryüzlü ve her konuda çok yardımcı oluyorlar. Otelde bir sürü ücretsiz etkinlik var istediğinize katılabiliyorsunuz. Yemekler inanılmaz lezzetliydi. Vegan olduğunu gözden kaçırmış olmama rağmen herşeyden çok memnun kaldık.

Masajlar çok pahalı olduğu için deneyimleyemedik. Vegan olduğunu gözden kaçırmışım. En azından vejetaryen olmasını tercih ederdim. Fakat bu haliylede hiç bir besini aratmıyor.

Ik geef een 6 en booking noemt het in de titel 'fijn' ? Ik noem het teleurstellend. Personeel is vriendelijk en deed hun best, dat was het beste.

Het eten was alleen vegan, dat zag ik niet op booking.com aangegeven. De prijzen van de welness en het hotel zijn erg hoog. Het klopt niet..er zit geen 'hart' in.
