Forenom Serviced Apartments Trondheim

The arrangement for the key collection and return is a complete pain and is the reason I have given a low score rather than any reflection on the apartment quality. Guests are asked to travel into Trondheim to collect the key from a lock box , inside a convenience store which is a 10 min walk from the train station. On top of this you must wait until the day of check- in to receive key code instructions for the drop box, which we received just after 15:00. We eventually walked into the apartment 2 hours after our train first passed through Heimdal! For check out the guest is also expected to return the keys to the same drop box. However the store is closed between 07:00 - 08:00 which made this impossible with our train times . It took me 3 calls to customer services to resolve key collection and drop off, using a U.K. mobile at international call rates. Not to mention the additional time and expense getting to Trondheim and back. I’ve travelled a lot and never stayed anywhere that the customer is expected to do so much running around ! Aside from the key issues the apartment is in a new build development which is a little hard to find as there is no name or number on the street front door (only on the back doors) Once inside the block the apartment numbers are very small in the top right corner of each door. I’ve attached a photo to help other guests as it took me a while to spot them. The apartment itself is very nice; clean, comfortable, light & airy with an outdoor space. A good kitchen, washing machine & wifi . There are some teething issues e.g there were no mugs only glasses not suitable for hot drinks, no outdoor furniture and not all the pans are suitable for the induction hob . The location is a very short walk from Heimdal train station and numerous supermarkets and restaurants . If the hosts resolve the key issue I would have rated this a 9
