The hostel is quiet at night and they have nice common areas. I like the idea that they support the local community with their income. The owner tries her best to help you with anything.

I found that it is really far to walk from the centre of the city (see picture below). I walked about 25 minutes and the altitude difference is about 150 m. So you have to add about 1 hour to your activities unless someone picks you up. However, there is a bus (Jimar) which takes you up or down for 7 córdobas. It departs at Parque Ruben Darío opposite the church every 20 minutes or so. The cleanliness of the bathrooms could be improved, clogged pipes, mould on the wall and overflowing waste baskets don't delight anyone.
