Renaissance Villa Bentota

A perfect place to stay in Bentota. After almost a month of traveling around Sri Lanka, we were pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was. The service from the hosts was amazing — friendly, caring, and always helpful. Every day we had tasty breakfasts, and it really felt like the perfect place to relax. The hotel is close to the main road, which is very convenient, but still quiet and peaceful — it feels like living in the jungle. The beach is also not far, and there are cafes, restaurants, and a Cargills store within walking distance. By the way, the room has a water heater, which is important for Sri Lanka. If we come back to Bentota, we’ll stay here again for sure.

What a lovely way to start our Sri Lankan adventure with a local family who have only the 2 rooms. They offered an evening meal that they cooked, which we had for 2 nights and was one on the best meals had during our stay in Sri Lanka. Ashmika their son was able to obtain good prices for river trips and ongoing transport cars, which we used for the rest of our 3 weeks. The rooms were spacious clean and comfortable, the location was like living with the locals and was 10 mins from the beach, with restaurants on the was over the railway track.

Spacious, very clean room with a nice terrace. The family was just lovely. Ashmika helped me with every question I had and was always available. They welcomed me with cake and coffee. The beach and restaurants are just a short walk away. Still, the homestay is located in a quiet, residential area. The breakfast was delicious, don't miss out on trying the dinner too! 😋 Thanks for everything guys 💝 Would definitely come back.

Nothing major. A moscito net would improve the room. And as mentioned before sometimes the dogs can be loud at nighttime. Wasn't a big deal for me.

This is very nice apartment with everything what you need and with nice big balcony.The young guy ,who takes care of it ,is very nice,professional and his English is very good.Apartment is very quiet,you cannot hear any noice from cars or train,what was very important to us.Photos in Booking correspond exactly with reality. Moreover,it is few steps (cca 400m) from the main road with bus stop and also cca 5min walking distance from the railway station,so it is very easy to get to this apartment also in economic way.The beautiful ,very long beach is also nearby, just few steps.Bentota for us was surpricely very quiet place and we enjoyed it a lot.
