Renaissance Villa Bentota

What a wonderful place! Surrounded by a lot of green, you can hear the birds in the morning and watch them from the cosy balcony. Away from noisy streets you get a good sleep in a comfortable bed, in a big and clean room. There is always hot water for the shower. And the beautiful, very long beach is just a few minutes to walk. But the best of all is the family! They really care for their guests, the breakfast is unbelievable and every day a different one. We even had dinner here, very tasty fish curry. Our plan was to stay 2 nights, finally we stayed 4 nights. Highly recommend.

It’s an amazing place located just a few steps away from the beaches but still in a quiet area! It’s a mix of beach and jungle experience! You will see a lot of birds, monkeys, lizards and a great variety of trees and plants! The family is outstanding nice, they will help you in every situation and find a quick solution. The breakfast is a delight and you even get extra portions if you ask! For me it’s seems unreal to pay so less money for such a premium experience in Bentota.

Lovely family, extremely helpful, Ashmika the son took my partner on the back of his bike to buy a sim card. Had dinner first night as too tired to go out. Excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and also excellent. Constant hot water in an excellent bathroom. We were in the balcony room and they had put a small Christmas tree with lights on it which was a lovely touch. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony relaxing very much. The only thing we didn't like was the early morning tannoy singing from the local temple but that has to be expected in Sri Lanka.

We liked the property, its facilities and area. It is a bit too far to walk to the beach (10 minutes) but apart from that, the place is ok.

Lunch was a bit overpriced. They charged LKR 5,000.00 for 2 portions of white rice, some curries and fish. It was not worth for that money.

Amazing guesthouse ! Everything was perfect - the room is huge and has a cute balcony where you get awesome breakfast. (Everyday something new and delicious! ) Bed is comfy, bathroom is big, AC, warm water and all supplies that one needs. Everything is spotless clean and the host family is very kind and helpful. They arranged excursions for us and had many tips for the area. Beach and very good restaurants are nearby and easy accessible (tuk tuk or short walk). We can highly recommend to stay here while visiting beautiful Bentota. Thank you for having us !

Everything was perfect !

Everything was gorgeous! The room, balcony, bathroom, breakfast, location...... everything. Two weeks in Sri Lanka, 9 guest houses (which were all good) but seriously, this was the best.

Nothing at all.

The property is easy to find and only a short walk from the beach (with restaurants to choose from) and the railway station. Ashmika and his family are the perfect hosts. Our room was comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed sitting out having a lovely breakfast.

The host family are the nicest most helpful people you will ever meet. They will help you with anything they can including tuk tuks, tours, train apps etc. Breakfast is a feast everyday. The rooms and property generally are spotlessly clean. The bed is v comfortable and big. Great shower and bathroom area. Good a/c and wifi. Easy walk to the beach, restaurants, bank, supermarket and train station. We definitely recommend.
