Appartamento Urban Maison

A lovely modern apartment in a great location for both the old town, port, restaurants and bars. A complimentary bottle of red wine but only 1 wine glass for 2 of us, however did find a champagne glass to drink out of. 😀 Water in the fridge when we arrived and plenty of towels. A well stocked mini bar which we didn’t use as preferred to go out to drink. Claudio, the owner was helpful and answered queries quickly. Air conditioning and lift. Marco Polo pizzeria next door does wonderful pizzas, great for when you’re tired and don’t fancy walking too far. Also cafe below for water, croissants etc. Secure underground parking.

The only window which you cannot open is in the lounge but only has a see through blind and no curtains so had to ensure when coming out of the bedroom or bathroom when the lights were on that we were appropriately dressed. Very small bathroom and I had to stand on tiptoes to reach the basin when cleaning my teeth as it was quite high. Microwave was far too high to be safe. No toaster or kettle (although Claudio kindly provided a kettle on the third day). Nowhere whatsoever to hang any clothes, coats etc. No hooks, hangers, wardrobe only a fold up bed so had to live out the suitcase. Had to message owner for more pillows and found some under the bed but no pillowcases on them. When I changed the pillowcase from the pillow I was sleeping on it was heavily stained. No map or instructions as to which way to go when leaving the apartment to walk to town. Only TV was in the bedroom.

Amazing location with comfort of safe parking in wonderful Genoa. Atmospheric, very clean apartment with basic equipment, drinking water and coffee upon arrival. Close to cafes, breakfast places and good restaurants. Claudio, the really caring and attentive Host, provided us with all the information needed and answered within minutes.

Claudio was an excellent host as he communicated from the outset well - providing all details us they we needed upon arrival. Claudio met us at the apartment and helped us with parking our car and showing us the apartment. He provided us with information about the apartment, the local area and restaurant suggestions when we messaged him. He was always responsive and lovely. The apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated with American and Japanese pop cultural items - making it a homey feel. Claudio had cold water waiting for us and we had access to an extensive drinks bar. The kitchen is very well equipped if you wish to cook a meal. It is fantastic that there is a combined clothes washing and drying machine. The apartment is well situated in a central location and it easy to a number of important landmarks such as the Old Port, the Aquarium, the University, the via Garibaldi shopping strip, museums and lovely cafes and restaurants. Make sure to explore all the hidden alley ways as the are beautiful.

Perfect location and Claudio is amazing, very helpful and kind.

The apartment was clean and very stylish, it has everything you need. The location is perfect everything is close, there’s a cafe right in front of the building too. The host was very kind and helpful, the best host we ever had. The parking is close to the building as well so that’s a big plus in Italy for sure.
