Bonfire Hostels Rishikesh

I enjoyed my stay at bonfire the building is newly renovated with 3 new floors and nice double private rooms with balcony and private bathroom also dorm rooms are available. Situated on a quite steeet away from the hustle but 1 minute walk from all amenities. There’s a nice cafe on the corner serving delicious food. Quiet off street parking for motorbikes. The owners are super kind and friendly and welcoming offering laundry and fair prices. I would recommend.

Morning yoga in the rooftop studio was great, with a fantastic teacher. The position of the hostel is quite good, away from the main bustle but an easy walk to main street. The host organised a taxi to the airport for an early morning flight. The driver was the best we'd had in India and actually turned up on time unlike some of our previous experiences.

It is a huge place and there didn't seem to be many people staying. There was never anyone else in the restaurant. Food was very limited and the facilities dirty - we didn't like the dogs being in the restaurant and the kitchen. Although breakfast was included in our stay, after the first morning we decided to eat elsewhere. Our room was clean but there was no sheet on the bed until we requested one, and they struggled to find one which seemed odd. We ended up with 2 single sheets on a double bed. There was really loud music in the restaurant (even though no one there!) which kept us awake in our room on the floor below. The staircase was locked so that when there was a power cut and we couldn't use the lift, we were stuck on the 5th floor.
