Gandan Terrace Guesthouse

Felt like being at home! I loved my stay so much I extended my time here from a previous booking.

The hosts here are lovely people. They were consistently so helpful and considerate. The terrace that overlooks Gandan Monastery was a highlight for me, and I spent a lot of time in the mornings and evenings there. The guesthouse was for the most part clean, and the breakfast that they serve was delicious.

Even though the temperature in UB is pretty mild, my room got a little hot, and on my last evening I was unable to sleep because it was so hot. I opened the window at night and during the day to let in some cool air, but my room became populated by bugs because of this. It would have been nice to have a fan in the room for air circulation during the summer and screens on the windows.

Great hosts. Comfortable, clean room. I really loved the terrace in the morning. Lovely views. Good coffee (this is important for some of us) + very good breakfasts. Really felt welcome.

Je me suis senti bien et les hôtes sont discrets, charmants, à l'écoute. Le 1er et deuxième étages sont réservés a la location. Tout est très propre avec une jolie terrasse donnant sur la ville. Dans un quartier populaire à deux minutes du temple Gandan. La situation est idéale: à 8 minutes du centre plus touristique au milieu d'habitats modestes et traditionnels type Ger. Pour moi excellente entrée pour une arrivée en Mongolie ou pour adoucir le départ.

Tel quel j'aime bien.

Obiekt znajduje się tuz obok klasztoru Gandan, ok. 30 minut pieszo od centrum. Okolica może wydawać się dziwna (zabudowa bardziej wiejska niż miejska), ale sam pensjonat to dobrze przygotowany budynek. Pokoje mają wystarczający standard. Do dyspozycji jest świetna jadalnia z pełnowymiarową kuchnią i przyjemnym tarasem. Właściciele są bardzo mili i pomocni, śniadania smaczne, a okolica cicha, co w głośnym Ułan Bator ma znaczenie. Zdecydowanie jest czysto. Dobra cena za dość wysoki standard. Lepiej wybrać ten pensjonat niż nieco droższe hotele.

Na drzwiach łazienki z prysznicem jest informacja, że ciepła woda jest tylko rano i w nocy, w określonych godzinach. Niestety, mimo przestrzegania tych godzin, tylko raz w ciągu tygodnia woda była gorąca, a prysznic przyjemny.
