Gandan Terrace Guesthouse

A modern guesthouse run by a lovely couple. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. There is a large modern shared kitchen, and the terrasse is very pleasant. The guesthouse is on an unpaved road which can be muddy. The area can look a bit sketchy but please do not let that stop you; it is a very good location in UB; right next to a beautiful monastery, not far to grocery stores and a local market. Walking distance of all the main sights. We always felt safe (and we were traveling with kids). The hosts are incredibly sweet. They let us keep the room much later than check-out time and took us to the airport (for a reasonable fee). I highly recommend this guesthouse. You won’t be disappointed!

The owners are really friendly. They provide breakfast at 10,000 MNT and lunch for 15000 MNT, but mostly the western moxed style. You can cook your own food, which is a plus. Can also order for airport transfer for 100k MNT. Rooms are nice. A stone throw from Gandan and within 10 mins walk to locall markets and shops. Walkable distance to most attractions.

Toilet cleaniliness depends on guests who are staying. Some tend to be less today and hygienic. The road to the guesthouse can be very muddy when it rains. Cannot pay with credit card.

Wie der Name es sagt, super schoene Terrasse zum entspannen. Sehr freundliche und hilfbereite Gastgeber. Sehr gutes abwechslungsreiches Frueckstueck, wirklich mit Liebe zum Kochen vorbereitet. Sehr schoene Zimmer.. Die Lage ist auch schoen, gleich am Gandan Tempel, man hoert und sieht den Gong ;)

Ein bisschen warm im Zimmer, aber es gibt mini Ventilatoren.

The host were very kind. It’s a family house very quiet in a special neighborhood close to the temple.
