Though it’s close to main road no traffic noise, secondary it was clean, felt safe and rooms were good too. Staff was super friendly and host was very responsive.

I stayed here in November, and my experience was fantastic. The staff was very friendly, always helpful, and welcoming. The host suggested some excellent places to visit and even showed me around too whenever he had time. The rooms were clean, and the location was ideal, with everything nearby and the area feeling safe. Nearby activitiesGym, sai ghat, cafes, kirtan and almost everything one wants to experience in Rishikesh is close to it. Also adventure activities can be done through hostel host for extra discounts.

There was nothing to like!

The room was very very dirty, pee and poo in and around the toilet, no warm water to shower (at the reception the owner told me there was hot water), the sheets were very dirty and definitely not washed. I arrived very late so after noticing all this I didn't want to disturb the owner and just went to bed. I was very happy that I only booked one night and if I had arrived during the day I would have checked out immediately. Also the room is smelly, cold and the noise from the street is insane. I told the owner when checking out that I wasn't happy with the hostel facilities and explained to him that I would rather give feedback then give someone a terrible review knowing the impact it might have. After leaving he informed booking that it had been a no show and that my reservation had been cancelled. Due to this rude and childish behaviour I'm writing a negative review. Make good use of tourists, but don't behave this way!

Hotstel Rishikesh was a fantastic stay! Friendly staff, clean rooms, and a relaxing vibe made it easy to feel at home. The rooftop views were stunning, and the location is perfect for exploring nearby spots. Highly recommend for budget travelers.

My overall experience with Hotstel Rishikesh Tapovan was Superb, and memorable. I must recommend this to everyone. Staff and owner of the property is very nice and polite person he help us to show best place in Rishikesh Food is delicious. View' from rooftop is awesome. Perfect place to book in rishikesh

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotstel Rishikesh Tapovan. The location is perfect – quiet, but still close to all the main attractions and the Ganges. The atmosphere in the hostel is very warm and friendly, and the staff always ready to help with anything or recommend places to visit.

It's a very good hostel. Owner's English is good. And he's willing to answer many questions. He won't cheat you and give you best advice. He also cares about your stay and trip. The room is clean and AC is super cold. The location is also great. I had a very great time here.
