Struan's cottage: beautiful view of the countryside, very peaceful, warm sunshine streaming into the lounge in winter, comfortable bed, comfortable lounge, excellent gas geyser, sunny patio, birdlife. P.S. the access road has been improved, easy for a sedan.

The place was beautiful but the cottage needed to be cleaned well. Looks like the previous people had a dog they and alot off dog hair was all over. The bees was also very bad.

The cottage was in a very pretty location, with lovely views

Communication was bad. I messaged to ask for an additional night and an additional person. The accommodation did not respond. I had to phone them to put in the request. After staying at the accommodation, I asked how to pay. The accommodation when I booked was R1000 a night, but they wanted to charge R6000 for two nights. I queried this and they said they would get back to me, and I never heard from them. I tried to pay the original price of R1000 x 2 nights, but this was not accepted by the accommodation's bank. The cottage has so much potential, but it was not clean, and the crockery had to be washed before using it. The toilet leaked and the main ensuite shower had a drainage issue, so one was standing in a pool of water while showering.

True rustic experience , with true value for the money. Wall heater and gas heater were great to fend off the extreme cold mountain air, and the cozy blankets were welcome indeed!
