Rafiki Backpackers-hostel

I had a pleasant stay at Rafiki. The hostel was quiet, comfortable, and I had a very restful night. The breakfast was good, and since I was the only guest during the low season, the atmosphere was very peaceful. The owner was friendly and helpful, and he went out of his way to assist me, including personally helping me get to the accommodation and showing me around. He is a genuinely kind person who cares about his guests, and a very attentive and expressive person.

The main issue was communication when I arrived. Although the owner sent me an updated address, he did not clearly explain beforehand that I would be staying at a different property because of the low season. This caused some confusion when I arrived. There was also some initial uncertainty regarding the agreed booking price, although this was eventually resolved and the original rate was honored. Better communication in advance would have made the arrival process smoother.

asante sana for the good time in your beautiful, creative house with you nice, warm hearted and really helpful people! i can really recommend this place (either „rafiki“ and „homeland“) to open minded people with a sense for creativity, humor and a relation of quality and price! those who expect western standards and complain about everything better search in the according price category.

The hostel has a really nice location and the breakfast is amazing.

The owner was always drunk and made me feel uncomfortable most of the time. He said a lot of inappropriate things and calls himself Crazy guy. He is by far not funny at all and does not know when to stop!!

Wszystko. Warunki spartańskie to mało powiedziane. Dojazdu brak. Gorąco brak klimy . Jak ktoś lubi tak ostro może spróbować my po jednej nocy zmieniliśmy bo hotel 4 gwiazdki w podobnej cenie.

der Besitzer - CRAZY MAN - ist ein sensationeller Gastgeber der sich um alle unsere Belange gekümmert hat. Wir waren dort als Familie mit Baby und 5-jährigem und es war klasse. Das Frühstück reichlich und jeden Tag mit saisonalem frischen Obst. Der nahe gelegene Strand ist bei höchstem Stand der Flut nicht nutzbar aber sonst perfekt und ruhig. Danke CRAZY MAN!

We loved our stay in the Hostel… especially because of crazy-man!

We had an amazing time at the Rafiki backpackers hostel. The owner is very friendly, energetic and helpful. His cares a lot for his guests! The house is located near an almost private beach which is lovely. The room is also good and spacious enough, with a nice bed and clean toilet and shower. Would highly recommend.

The outdoor space and a not crowded beach is only 10 min walk away
