Kibwana Beach Bungalows & Diving

The location is fantastic. The staff were good but Kelvin was excellent and deserves 10/10 The bungalows comfortable I had a really enjoyable stay Hot water in a bucket to wash 'African style' which was perfectly adequate. Excellent, generous breakfast... probably the best I've had. I loved the stay here and highly recommend.

No hot water but slowly realising this is a luxury. No wifi so need own internet data especially if you have excursion arrangements to keep up to date with. These were not enough to detract from a great stay and I'd stay again.

Very simple accommodation but on the beach and good value for money.

All staff are so friendly and kind that they talked me like family! I never found such a adjective, enjoyable, friendly and beautiful hotel...! I really enjoyed even the life there! They kindly taught me any helpful information whenever I had a trouble and question. Everywhere is clean. You can also stay outside. You can find great ocean view in front when you open the door. I did snorkeling with the owner Kibwana since morning, and it was unforgettable and beautiful experiences... :) Kibwana Village Bungalows organizes Diving and Snorkeling by their own, and they heard me kindly what I want to do. Kibwana Village Bungalows have restaurant and there are a few restaurant around there but these restaurant was closed in daytime so I didn't eat anything there until 18:30 (6:30pm) because of Ramadan! But you can have nice breakfast since 7:00am even in Ramadan. It was so beautiful memory and they gave me lots of smile and help... though I'm solo traveler. Probably I was first Japanese traveler there..?? Anyway I really appreciate the staff for everything their help, smile and enjoy moment! Asante sana!!!

Nothing to complain about Kibwana Village Bungalows.

The bungalows are great, literally on the beach. The personal was amazing always trying to help you in a relaxed atmosphere. It felt really cozy and friendly. It is a diving place but I just did snorkeling and the experience was really good.

Excellent value. Amazing location. All of the staff were fantastic and helpful. Accommodations are basic and good value. I would not recommend for people with mobility issues due to stairs . Quiet, restful stay.

There were frequent power outages while I was there for the entire village so it was inconvenient but not the fault of the owner, just good to be aware that this issue affects the area.

If you are not a diver and alone is not the right place if you are a diver is ok they have a good one

Breakfast a bit poor

Great location run by a local man who was very helpful and great host it’s good to support the local economy when staying in Zanzibar the money spent here goes straight back to the locals who appreciate the business you are literally sleeping on the beach only 3 places has described and la few local restaurants nearby

Lovely basic huts directly on the beach, managed by an extremely friendly owner and equally friendly and caring staff. They also manage a small diving center on the premises (which I didn't know at the time of booking so I made arrangement with another operator). Beautiful place and beautiful people. Did I mention good food? I wish I could stay longer and hope to be back.

Free wifi would be nice
