The Waterfront Townhouse Accommodation

Excellent location, Next door to Kilkenny Castle, and 2 min walk to many great restaurants and a big supermarket. Our room was comfy, cozy, clean, a little avant-garde, and had a great view of the street corner and river. We had everything we needed except a kitchenette, but they did have a shared coffee nook and mini fridge. I got very sick at the end of our stay, missed our flight and could not get the airline (PlayAir) to get us a follow-up flight home. Bought another ticket with them to get back, which I lost the next day when PlayAir announced bankruptcy leaving many passengers stranded. The folks at this property were very accommodating and helped coordinate an extended stay in the same room which was a God sent for us, especially being sick. Of all the places we visited in Ireland for 3 weeks, being stranded in Kilkenny was the best we could have hoped for. Great Value!!

Great last minute decision to come to KilKenny able to find a room last minute, room was perfect.

In the middle of the night around 2am we had another couple show up, I mainly slept through it, woke and scared my husband, the room could sleep 5, my husband kindly asked them to leave as normally in American you do not share rooms, but in other countries that is a possibility, we felt bad for the other couple if they were suppose to stay with us, but we confirmed that they were not the next morning, my husband said they were nicely dressed but had no luggage that he saw. It was all so confusing as the door to get into the building was locked and our room was locked, but their rooms keys opened our room, we are just happy to be safe and that they kindly left, I fell back to sleep but my husband said he was pretty shaken so just rested until morning.

Oh the stairs with our big bags! No tea/coffee facilities in room. Didn’t really provide toiletries as advertised. Nowhere to hang towels.
