Villa Ricardo

Great location in a lovely village. Rubina our host was exceptional, kind, friendly and very helpful. The villa was better than we thought. Lots if space, swimming pool, laundry facilities, etc, etc. The list goes on. Top views over the bay. A couple of great restaurants, A Pipa, served amazing food. Great bakery as well.

Perfect hosts, warm welcome with wine and rum tasting. the villa is very comfortable.

Good location just 5 minutes walk from the seafront (restaurants, shops etc) at Porta da Cruz, and a great spot from which to explore the north east coast of Madeira. Nice welcome from Sr Ricardo and Rubina, with generous offer of homemade Madeira wine and brandy, bananas, bolo do mel etc.

A rather small kitchen given the size of the property, but adequately equipped nonetheless.

The location of the villa was amazing with sweeping sea views from the pool terrace. The property was very clean and well equipped. We met Ricado's father and daughter who were extremely friendly and left us with some welcome gifts of Madeira wine, cake and biscuits (and a large bunch of home grown bananas). The setting was incredible with banana and mango trees in the garden. The town is quiet with stunning views and a couple of good restaurants.

We stayed for 2 nights and wish we stayed longer! The house is amazing and the host was very welcoming and accommodating. Great location for close access to the best hikes in the region. Will definitely be back!
