Jim als Vermieter ist super nett und war jederzeit über WhatsApp zu erreichen. Außerdem hat er uns mit vielen Insidertipps versorgt, die superwertvoll waren. Die Lage des Hauses bietet einen wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer und auf viele tolle Abendstimmungen. Jim und seine Frau legen Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit, Wasser vom Regen und Strom von der Sonne, Trinkwasser wird von Jim jederzeit gestellt. Die Veranda ist grandios, wir haben nur draußen gelebt, gegessen und gespielt. Dabei bekommt man Besuch von knallgrünen Geckos, über die wir uns immer wieder gefreut haben. Für Leute, die selbst kochen, bitte beachten, dass die Koch- und Grillgelegenheit auf der Veranda ist und eine kalte Abspülmöglichkeit eine Etage tiefer. Schnorchelsachen und Standequipment kann kostenlos ausgeliehen werden.

Die Unterkunft bietet alles, was man für einen entspannenden Aufenthalt braucht. Zwei sehr gemütliche Betten, Miniküche, Grill, Terrasse mit Couch und vor allem einen wunderschönen Ausblick. Darüber hinaus können Schnorchelausrüstungen, Waveboards und Campingstühle kostenlos ausgeborgt werden. Gastgeber Jim ist sehr freundlich und gibt gute Tipps für die Umgebung der Insel.

A means to brew coffee would be great; like a French Press or a drip filter holder. I don’t travel with one, and missed a cup of Hawaiian coffee in the mornings on the lanai.

The overlook and view into the valley. Jenny, the host and her dog was very nice.

The UFO night light changing colors all thru the night. Felt like we were n a rave. No 2nd exit in case of fire. If a fire started and came up the stairs, you would have to jump off the second story. Suggest a ladder installed on back side of deck to escape if u had to.

If you desire to experience the true essence of Hawaii, staying at Serenity Hale is a MUST!!! From the frog chorus at night to the amazing view from the lanai, the cleanliness, spaciousness, all the extra amenities (including kitchen items & snorkeling gear), location within a reasonable distance to many activities on the island. . . . Serenity Hale has it all! Our host, Jim, was MORE than accommodating! He only desires the best for his guests, & having served as a concierge previously, he does an amazing job of keeping you happy, active, & safe! He provides soooo many suggestions & helpful tips! Wish we could stay longer! Would not hesitate to stay here again! Mojo, the pup, is an added benefit to make you feel right at home during your stay!

Great place to stay - lovely accomodation, spacious, clean, everything you need. Wished we had stayed longer. Ideal location. No air con as mentioned in some reviews but this is not a problem at all, there is a breeze flowing and place is cool enough with this. Views are amazing, place feels comfortable and safe (i dont like bugs!) jim very helpful, would highly recommend staying here

Having only 2 nights here!

Beautiful and peaceful. Impressed that it is a green property which truly got power and water from the sky. Jim was extremely accommodating. Not only was he knowledgeable regarding activities around the island, he provided snorkels, fins, masks, boogie boards, coolers and beach chairs. I discovered the long board too late in my trip to take advantage so we'll just have to make another trip. Got to meet Mojo but didn't get to meet Jen as she worked a lot. Met a lot of geckos tho and I miss them already! Don't miss the Punalu'u Bake Shop which is on the way to Volcanoes National Park. Yummy!

My sister thought the twilight frogs were too loud but they didn't bother me. It can be hot during the day in the house, which is fine if you are gone for activities, but not conducive to having a lay-about. It did cool down quickly well before the sun set and there was a nice, pleasant breeze at night.
