The moment I appeared at The HEARTWOOD, I was greeted with a wide smile and very helpful attitude by Catie, and by the same on subsequent occasions by Alyse, Chris, and also by Shae, who had helped me firm up my reservations on the phone months before. Tamara and all other housekeeping staff were very accommodating of my preference for afternoon service. I cannot go without mentioning that the black cosmetic washcloth is genius. The bow on the top of The HEARTWOOD is the enjoyable in-house Salt Line Restaurant managed by Tim Hurst. The excellent team includes Chica, Steve, Courtney, Jack, Kaya, and Lupe, and the chefs, purchasers, and others who go unseen behind the scenes. I will always make it my priority to stay at the HEARTWOOD when visiting Poughkeepsie and environs.

The continental breakfast (free for hotel guests) were pretty basic, but delicious on the other hand.

The location was perfect for our needs. All of the staff were personable and efficient. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was upscale and delicious.
