La Campechana Condesa

Walked through many of the neighborhoods close by and condessa was by far the best. Safe, quiet, close to everything. I can go on and on but do your own research if you want. This property checks off all the boxes that you’ll need/wamt. Washing machine, full kitchen, a/c, several stand up fans, TV in living room and in bedroom. Free Netflix(in Spanish). Black out blinds. Very secure with a 24 hr guard/front desk.

Nice apartment in an amazing location

The location is excellent, and the front desk staff are very helpful during the check-in process. There's 24-hour security for added peace of mind, and the kitchen is fully functional. There's also simple breakfast items offered in the morning such as bread, pastry, milk, juice and yogurt.

We paid over $1,000 USD for a 7-night stay, which is considered relatively expensive for Condesa. We chose this place mainly for the promise of a washer, the charming decor, and a higher-floor unit with plenty of sunlight. This is what we saw from the pictures on booking.com website and what we expected to have. However, upon arrival, we were assigned a first-floor room with very little natural light and no washer. The front desk staff later explained that some guests had extended their stay, so we were given a different room — but it would have been nice to have been informed ahead of time and offered the option to move later. Instead, we had to use the shared laundry facilities, which were disappointing. Only one washer was functional (out of what was supposed to be three — one of which didn’t even exist) and only one dryer worked properly. One of the dryers was missing parts, leaving a hole inside with some sharp edges, which made it unusable for delicate items. The other one didn't start when I tried to start it. Additionally, there was no curtain in front of the kitchen area window that is next to the living room, which compromised our privacy as we can clearly see everyone walking past, and at night, the light from the kitchen was quite disruptive. Closing the door made the room too hot, and to top it off the safe didn’t work as intended. It would have been nice to have more instructions how to use it. Wifi was also not the best in the bedroom and there were a lot of dead spots while using personal devices in the bedroom. The front desk staff is also there like maybe 9 am - 6 pm during the weekdays but not on weekends. I feel like I definitely needed help or wanted to communicate about things several times, but couldn't because we were out during the day. Overall, it felt like we overpaid for the experience.

The rooms were modern and spacious. The location was also really great.

La Campechana is a beautifully located, clean and secure apart hotel. The kitchen is very complete and it even includes a washer dryer. There is 24 hour security with a person at the front door who opens it and lets you in. I would definitely stay again.

After something of a nightmare at our previous accommodation, this was an excellent find in a nicely renovated building full of character, in a fairly quiet area in Condesa. We stayed in room 5 at La Campechana on the second floor, and the room was really spacious and comfortable, with separate bedroom and kitchen/lounge. The building was quite warm, but the bedroom had excellent air conditioning which kept us cool, and the bedroom was really comfortable. The lounge was also comfortable, with a nice sofa and good tv with loads of channels and streaming options. A limited but welcome breakfast is provided on floor 1, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our only thought was that a lift would have been welcome, especially if you have large bags, but this is a fairly old building and I guess there isn’t the space. But overall a lovely stay, and we would definitely come back again. Gracias La Campechana!
