Beautiful views from an amazing sunny north facing deck with comfy couches. Perfect for lazy reading days :-). The house was very well equipped and comfortable. Centrally located but out away from town. Good walks close by with a short drive to nearby beach.

The Barrington Road was a bit busier than anticipated.

We loved everything, can't speak highly enough about the experience!

A Tranquil and Luxurious Retreat. My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at River View Lodge for two nights, a perfect getaway option. This hidden gem offers breathtaking views over the river and surrounding forest, and the sight of Knysna loeries swooping through the trees was a highlight of our stay. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the spacious and comfortable porch, taking in the serene surroundings. The outdoor braai facilities were excellent, with plenty of dry wood waiting for us. The house itself is a beautiful blend of comfort and understated elegance. The bedroom is spacious with a comfortable king size bed and a tranquil forest view. The bathroom had a roomy shower, decent water pressure and plush towels. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Attention to detail was evident throughout, from the high-quality furnishings to the thoughtful touches, like a selection of condiments – milk, sugar, coffee, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and honey – all provided for our convenience. The location was ideal for us – close enough to town to explore, but far enough away to provide the peace and quiet we were looking for. We truly felt like we were in the heart of nature, but with all the comforts we needed. We genuinely wish we could have stayed longer, and we’ll definitely be returning in the future. River View Lodge is a perfect blend of comfort, tranquillity, and luxury, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled retreat.
