APPARTAMENTO STELLA ALPINA

In a quiet area within walking distance from town, but a little far each day, especially in the rain. Room was comfortable & satisfied our requirements, but not what we were expecting. Basically a single room with a bed lowering from the wall & a separate bathroom. Room is located in the basement section of the building and therefore a bit dark, but does have an opening window with a view. Communication with the host was quick, with details of self check-in being provided via Whats App. A little confusing about parking and ended up parking across the street on the footpath.

Parking is an issue, and whilst we were advised we could park in front of the building, this was not possible

the location is good, parking available. Not far from the city center.

The room is full of dust.

Rossana was a great host, and nothing was too difficult. We noticed the floors weren't cleaned well upon arrival, however Rossana organised the cleaner to return to re-clean at our request. She also arranged a new kettle to be delivered the same day as the previous guest had taken it with them. I felt this responsiveness was above expectation and we appreciated it greatly. The apartment was only a 10 minute walk to central town, and it did have free car parking. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and cold fridge and the apartment itself was a good size for such a built up and popular area in Dolomites.

Whilst Rossana was a great host, the apartment was not somewhere that we would choose to stay again for a few reasons. Firstly, no AC - whilst common in Dolomites not to have AC, we would make sure that our next accommodation here is mandatory due to the summer heat, and lack of fly screens. We had quite a few bugs fly into the room at night whilst we tried to get fresh cool air from outside. Second, the bedding was not comfortable (fold out bed) so we did have some trouble sleeping. Lastly, the wifi we found quite unusable during the day and evening, and we resorted to using cellular data instead. Overall it was not a bad stay, but we expected a little more for the price (peak season we paid $480AUD/pn).

Bad Wi-Fi. No natural light as you are situated Ina basement. No space, we got a lot of browse because when you open the bed there is no room left. Parking is not guaranteed. Be careful when you are leaving because you have a pint for 500 euro fine if something is broken or not working. In the same time nobody comes for inspection if you don't ask to come. Not working fridge. Communication with the host is not officially,but you have to use WhatsApp.
