"Peaceful quiet stay within a short commute to Stone Town."

The location is about a 2 kilometer walk from the St. Mary's school ruins. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, except for the daily matches of football (soccer) on the pitch right outside the compound, but that is during the day. It was not at all a distraction. There is a small shopping mall being built with an adequate store 1.2 kilometers away. I like to walk so it was fine. The compound is kept locked and is secure. The guy who works nights speaks English well and has a good attitude. The lady who makes breakfast is also friendly. The room was adequate. The driver for a tok tok was overly safe, on time, and fair priced. I would recommend him and I used him about seven times.

The day time person doesn't speak English. There is no refrigerator in the room to store things. It is somewhat isolated from restaurants. There are a few but not big. I was able to get a haircut cheap nearby so that was a plus.
