Ougiya Ryokan

Lady boss was very friendly and even corrected yukata for us. Lost my onsen pass and provided an additional free of charge. Location is very near 24hr family mart. So no worries they did not provide meals. Accomodation was cheap for a ryokan.

Ryokan is abit old but is expected for its price.

Authentic experience staying in a family-run old-style inn close to everything. Being dressed in yukatas by our kind lady owner before being sent off to the first onsen of our stay was memorable. Our room was very warm.

The stairs were tough on tired knees.

The lady who owned the ryokan was really friendly and helpful. She taught us how to tie our yukatas. She even offered us an umbrella on the last day, even though we were leaving. We checked in earlier for baggage deposit and our luggages were moved up to our rooms. The place was really clean and quiet and the room was as spacious. It was really near one of the onsens too! Really value for money for the price we paid.

It was a little difficult to communicate as the owners did not speak much English. The showers were also far away from the room, but you can shower in the onsens before returning.

Very cozy room with private bathroom. Exellent location near all of the public bathouses. Yukata and geta offered to wear around town while hitting the onsens.

Friendly staff and Great Location

The place is a little bit older than the other Ryokans in the area but it’s still definitely an experience! We were there during the Danjiri festival and the owner was really proud of the local culture and kept trying to let us know what was happening.

Centrally located, traditional feel. Futon was comfortable. The room was very spacious and it was nice to have a water cooker and fridge available.

There was a really bad smell in the room, maybe aircon filter or some fungus. Quite unpleasant.
