Bamboo Retreat Tofuku

Unbelievable rental, especially for the price. Would love to live here.

A small apartment but have everything you need. Able to get a free parking spot. Walking distance to nearby restrautants and convinient shops. We walked to Fushimi Inari Taisha in about 30 minuts. And we explored Kiyomizu-dera and Gion on foot the other day.

Can hear the train at night before sleep. But it's OK once fallen asleep because you will be tired after exploring Kyoto.

What a perfect stay around the mount Fuji! The location, the commodities, the apartment itself, everything was perfect and i couldn't expect more from this stay, the photos are completely fitting to the reality, it's even bigger that you can imagine before your arrival! The host was so nice despite my lack of communication with her, once again thanks to her! After a peacefully night, a 5 minutes walk will bring you to nice waterfalls with a view on the mount Fuji all along ! Breathtaking! Guys, I can only recommend you to book a trip, short or long, you will need only a few minutes to feel like home and to enjoy the place, on lucky day you'll be even able to see the ocean in the back! Arigatō gozaimasu !

Everything was perfect!

Flat has a good size for 2/3 people, beds are comfortable and the neighbourhood is very traditional japanese feel. Train is 5 mins away walking, taking you to the centre in a short time and train straight to Nara too. Combini also very close and a few restaurants around that we didn t try because we would go back too late at the flat. Train tracks are literally in front of the flat and trains run very often during the day. We didn't mind the noise which is bearable but if you are sensitive to noise you will not like it since you have the railroad sound, playing almost every 5 mins. (not at night)

Every time we entered to flat there was a very strong smell that later we realised was coming from the Tatami floor, especially on the left side corner of the room compared to the right side. I am very sensitive to smells so there was a bit of discomfort on my side. Even if you open the window the small won't disappeared.

We had an overall good experience, the apartment was clean and confortable and in a good position too.

A bit small for three people if you have big luggages, but otherwise nothing wrong with it.

Premises (space, furnishings), equipment. Mostly clean.

We had troubles with control panels in Japanese language only. There were ants.

Wow, this was our favorite property while we were in Japan! Plenty of room, very clean, nice location close to a train station. It was easy to find and enter with the door codes. Thanks for being part of our trip!
