We had a fantastic experience at this guest house — probably one of the best places to stay in Saty Village. The location is peaceful and offers stunning views, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was very comfortable and cozy, with everything we needed. What really made our stay special was the owner, who was incredibly helpful and kind. He went above and beyond by arranging full-time transfers for us over 2–3 days, which made exploring the area so much easier. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region!

The rooms at AFrame_Kolsai are a definite highlight, being newly built, clean, and comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep.

the outdoor areas seem to be a work in progress. The lawn is overgrown and the ground is uneven, which made it difficult to use. While picnic benches are available, they are placed on a slant, making them unusable for sitting and eating comfortably. The length of the grass also made us hesitant to let our children play outside. A key issue we encountered was the lack of an intercom or a simple way to contact staff after hours, which made it difficult to get basic items like tissues at night. Overall, the guesthouse has great potential with its nice rooms, but the grounds and after-hours services need significant improvement to match the quality of the indoor facilities.

We had an amazing stay at A-Frame Kolsay! From booking to check-out, everything went super smoothly. The owner was very responsive and quick to answer all my inquiries, which made the whole process hassle-free. The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and spotless—everything smelled fresh and clean. The interior and exterior design are both stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere made our stay even more relaxing. The owner very kind and even brought us to Charyn and Black Canyon, Kolsai Lake, Kaindy Lake, and local restaurant. I highly recommended for anyone visiting the area! 🏡🤩🍃😍💚

Great facilities, no stone left unturned - from tea bags to washing machine, the facilities are awesome and have a great sunset view Super comfortable in a quiet spot but convenient for making your way south and visiting the Lakes

My only issues was the problems I had arranging a taxi. I had messaged in advance that I wanted their help booking a taxi to the Kyrgyzstan border, but this wasn't followed up - I would usually give a pass due to language barriers but communication was actually otherwise clear. The owner was out of town and the people on site were clearly trying to get what they could from me when haggling for a taxi price. As a guest, I expect honesty at the very least and I didn't get that. Facilities are brilliant. So regrettably I bring the score down from what would be a nine due to crap behaviour of the on-site staff which the owner must take responsibility for. The owner tried to dodge the bullet when I spoke to them in retrospect, but it's a learning they need to take forward and I didn't appreciate the attitude. I only ever leave honest reviews and aims to be positive and support great accommodations - which this has the potential to be with better hospitality.

I had an unpleasant experience during my recent stay at this hotel. Despite arriving well after the standard check-in time, my room was not ready, which caused unnecessary delay and inconvenience. The host at the front desk was grumpy and unwelcoming, setting a poor tone from the start. The washroom had clearly not been cleaned properly — previously used bath soaps were still left behind, which is unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. To make matters worse, the internet was not working throughout my stay — a basic amenity I expected, the overall attitude of the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, which only added to the discomfort. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes improvements in service, staff behavior, and basic facility readiness. Not worth for the premium rate they charge.

When we arrived all cabins were booked even while we confirmed our arrival that morning, the owner brought us to a lower level where they were building 2 new cabins. Constructions were going on there and the area was a construction area. AC was not yet installed but since it was already late and we had no other option we stayed. The cabin was nice and had everything you needed (except AC), it was very clean with just some construction dust (but we were the first ones ever staying there). The bed area had no floor yet. However we felt a bit watched by the construction people that were there until late in the evening and back again early morning.

We booked these cabins because they’d have AC, and since you sleep upstairs it gets really hot and is hard to cool down in the evening because there was no wind. I guess we were unlucky that we stayed in a construction area but other than that the idea of the cabin is really nice
