Room matched the photos.

We felt unsafe and uncomfortable here. The accommodation was hard to find. There was a lady and a child in the courtyard. She assigned us a room. We put our things down, locked it and went to eat around the corner. When we came back, Nena - the host - was there and had unlocked our room. We were told to swap rooms. Of course, you need a spare key for emergencies - this wasn't an emergency! We moved and spent the rest of the day out and about. When we returned in the evening, the front door to the inner courtyard was wide open - Nena was chilling in the courtyard with two men. Just a reminder: the inner courtyard was supposed to be included in the exclusive use. Otherwise, there are a lot of loud roosters shouting all night long and the mosque starts at 4 am. We would not recommend to stay here.

Happy village is a cool and private place, in the middle of the island - so it's very easy to get everywhere by foot within 10 minutes. It's also very new and clean. The self-check-in was really easy, as I got all the information I needed in advance. Also: the owner is super nice and very helpful when there's any questions. I can really recommend this place for a stay on Gili Air!

They lied about the water being clean. The tap and shower water is extremely dirty and smells like a swamp. We left 10 min after the check in as we could not stay there and wash with swamp water. Booking and the host refused to issue a refund although we did not use this service.

Good location, private garden, clean room

No blankets, even if it’s hot, some ppl still need smt warmer than bedsheets

Newly renovated, location in centre of the island so short walk to anywhere you want to go. Restaurants, bars, shops, health clinic, laundry all very close by. Host was fantastic, helped with planning activities, transport on and off the island, private excursions. Great communication.

Such a lovely place, both inside and outside. My favorite was the bathroom, it’s sooo pretty!! Also it’s such a calm and nice place close to everything on this island

Firstly, it's not a village it's one bungalow in an enclosed yard. THERE IS NO WIFI! When I spoke to the owner Nena, I said she had false advertising as there is no wifi and told her I needed it for work. Her suggestion was to go to a nearby restaurant and use theirs which is not helpful. Then i asked her to cancel the booking and SHE HUNG UP ON ME. After, she said by message I didn't understand the situation of no wifi and walking 5 mins to a restaurant. Also, the photos make it look ideal but the reality is the yard is full of cement bags and building bricks for an upcoming construction on the adjacent cement slab which had a lot of rubbish and rubble on it. It is just about next door to the mosque as well.

The accommodation was very nice almost new and the host is very friendly and there was no language problem. Places to eat just a short distance away.

The host was having problems getting wifi connected so that was the only negative.
