You have your own little traditional cottage in a local part of the island, the host is super helpful and knowledgeable

It’s quite close to the mosque so expect to wake up early for the call for prayer, which lasts pretty long here. There is still no internet, and the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest.

Lovely host. There is great aircon, a comfortable bed, drawers to put clothes into, and multiple electronic outputs. The building is new so it feels very clean and comfortable. There is daily cleaning inside and outside. I loved that the house is private. You have an entire fence around the property with a lockable door so it feels private. The lady was keen to solve any problems. She can provide a bike for cheap if you need. Location is close to good areas for food, close to the centre and also not far from all the beaches you want to go to. If the lack of reviews is concerning (like it was for me) it’s because she opened last week.

No wifi yet unfortunately. This was only because someone damaged the cord which they’re planning on fixing soon so hopefully this won’t be a problem for anyone else. The house is also close to the mosque which can wake you up in the mornings. However, this is a problem anywhere on the island and the lady offers people ear plugs to help block it out.
