Personal attention of the owner. Comfortable stay. Luxurious accommodation. Naturally derived breakfast ingredients. Wonderful bathtub and private terrace. Property overlooked the old church and church square - idyllic surroundings. Owner helped us make reservations at a nearby restaurant for dinner - she actually walked us over to the restaurant. Villa Messori Owner Francesca had a translator at hand to translate from Italian to English. All in all - a very quiet, pleasant and wonderful experience in a castle like atmosphere in a quaint town - far away from the bustle of Bologna. Would visit again!

The building is gorgeous and Francesca was the absolute best. We had a very large bedroom and bathroom that were beautiful and very comfortable. The views from everywhere are breathtaking. Our breakfast on the terrace was incredible.

Where can I begin with this paradise in Castelvetro. After a very unexpected and traumatic event, my partner and I had to completley change the course of our trip across Europe. In the chaos, we came across Francescas beautiful hotel and decided we would stay there until we had a new plan of action. I cannot begin to express our gratitiude for her kindness, heart and hospitality. Marco came to collect us and take us directly the hotel, which is located in the most beautiful grounds of a castle directly beside a magnificent church. The hotel itself is so beautiful, incredible interior and space - with a terrace that truly is a mini paradise. Francesca has truly opened her heart with this hotel, and every single detail is a note of beauty and style. Her, Marco and Elenora went above and beyond for us, and turned a moment of crisis into a moment of comfort and salvation. To add, the food and wine in the area is truly some of the best we have ever had the pleasure to eat. Villa Messouri - a true paradise built on family, heart and style - we thankyou so much and cannot wait to see you all again.

A truly exceptional property. The most beautiful, tasteful decor I’ve seen in a long time. Gorgeous art, objet, furniture and gardens. The hostess Francesca was amazing, truly could not do enough to help make our stay special.

Fantastic experience! The host was amazing. They were so helpful and did everything they could to help us and make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfasts were delicious with a lovely view from the balcony. The upstairs apartment was beautiful with picturesque views over the small traditional Italian village. There were some nice cafes and restaurants in the village so it had a nice atmosphere. Very accessible by car. The location was perfect for exploring the area. Well positioned between Bologna, Modena and Maranello. There was a car rally on Sunday morning starting from the village square! Several friends stayed locally in other accommodations and we felt very pleased that we chose the best one!

It’s an absolutely stunning, luxurious villa with the most welcoming host Francesca that makes you feel like you’re at home! We have never experienced a hospitality to this level! Everything in there tells a story- antique furniture, crockery. Our bathroom had a jacuzzi bath that I loved! There is a spa in the middle of woods in the back garden- everything to the highest standard. Watching sun come through the trees from sauna only adds to the experience. Breakfast and aperitif on the roof terrace served by our host were spectacular! Everything is home made by Francesca. We really regretted not having enough time to stay another night as we felt like one day isn’t enough to take it all in! Little town is brilliant too- gorgeous restaurants and views. Honestly we couldn’t recommend enough! It’s a 10/10 in every aspect!

There isn’t one thing I can think of!

The one and only - owner and host - Francesca- has made our stay unforgettable, with her warmth, personal touch and attention to details! She has organized a birthday surprise for us with snacks balloons drinks a gift and all, which we would have never received elsewhere. The house is beautiful, breakfast was fantastic with local fresh products, the village is nice. A true gem and an amazing personalized stay. Thank you Francesca and Zoe too.

Francesca was one of the most hospitable owners I have ever met. She warmly greeted us with plentiful sparkling wine and delectable nibbles which we enjoyed on the beautiful roof deck. She made us feel especially welcome with her kind and bubbly personality. Breakfast was generous and delicious! She even packed yummy chocolate cake to take on the road. Also, she upgraded us to a suite upon our arrival. 🥰

The only issue for me is that there was a pervasive scent (essential oils?) throughout the room and bathroom. For most it wouldn’t have been an issue. For me, allergies are a problem.
