Free parking lot. The owner is very helpful. I like the traditional Japanese vibe.

The heaters are available in the room and living room only. It was quite cold along the corridor during winter.

Facilities are all okay, provided with care.

Nothing, it is just perfect for me. Would love to come back here If someday return to Kyoto..

This was, without a doubt, the most amazing place we’ve ever stayed at! Our host was absolutely wonderful — quick to respond, kind, and so helpful. He made everything seamless, from helping us transfer our luggage from Tokyo, showing us how to send it ahead to Osaka via Family Mart, to suggesting places to visit and restaurants to eat. The house was simply stunning — beautiful, cosy, and full of traditional Japanese charm, with all the facilities you need. The lovely gardens were so peaceful, and the location couldn’t have been better — just steps from Family Mart, close to Nijo Castle, and near metro and bus stations. Everything about our stay was perfect!

Owner was very nice and helpful with getting us settled in and even suggested food locations. The rooms are nice and the sofa and beds were comfortable.

Very slight issue: the hallway immediately after entering gets quite cold during the night so just be ready to feel a chill when leaving the heated rooms.

Advertises a kitchen but you are not expected to cook. Also minimal items for kitchen eg one saucepan nothing else. Only 2 cups bowls knives foeks etc
