Apartment Joe

Very good location, fast responsive host.

Bed is a bit hard, check in according to booking.com was 13:00 but they say 14:00, at the end we have to wait 30 minutes before they come and do the room. Water heater is not enough for 3 people so you have to wait around 30 minutes after to take a warm shower. Some kids hang out around the place and are very racist.

Central location, interior and arrangement of the facilities within the small room are great, comfortable beds and all equipment are working as expected.

Apartment is adjacent to the road but since the road is small, you expect a lesser traffic and little noises.

Split is full of options to stay, so it can be hard to pick a good place. We were mostly focused on location: close to the old town, walking distance to the bus station / ferry port and also near our rental car return location. In addition, we wanted something "nice" as it was our final stay of the holiday. All was perfectly fulfilled by Apartment Joe! All modern and well maintained furniture, just like on the pictures, fully equipped kitchen, good shower and enough space. During our 2-night stay in October it was quiet in the area, an occasional motorbike passing by and some people. Short walk into old town (15 minutes) and shops and restaurants nearby (around Trg Sperun). We highly recommend to rent some bikes at the Wave Surf-shop nearby and to explore the area.

The icing on the cake would be a small patio or area to sit outside, but of course we understand this is not always possible in such a central city apartment. :-)

Comfortable

Disturbed a few times late at night by noise/ door knocking. Maybe Youth hostel opposite.

Fabulous location tucked away in quiet pedestrian street in old town of Split. Walk into the city centre was only a few minutes with a huge variety of attractions, food and shopping choices on the doorstep. For the small size of the studio it was well designed in a modern minimalist style. Very clean on arrival and warbrobe to hang clothes. Great space to rest in between sightseeing and eating!

The shower felt cramped, and the shower head was uncontrollable... water pressure is good, though. The lack of tea towel meant drying up with a bath towel.

+ Location is good with lots of restaurants nearby and with only a few minutes walk to Riva and the old town. + Joe's sister was very nice and welcoming. + The apartment was very clean and modern with good air conditioning.

- Apartment is on street level and there was a lot of noise, and one night we were woken up by some drunk guy banging on the door and windows. Bring your earplugs! - Even though we like stiff beds, the bed was way too hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. Until there is a mattress topper we recommend stacking additional blankets on the bed. - The built-in TV system isn't very good, and there doesn't seem to be a way to watch Netflix etc. There is no way to hook Chromecast either.

Very cosy place, very well located. Easy communication with the host. Great stay!

The matress of the single couch is hard. Good to know for people who have backache.
