Treasure Rock

Loved our two night stay in this hidden gem. Staff is incredibly kind & attentive, great food and close proximity to Yala National Park. Would highly recommend!

The property has been built in colonial style and is impeccably decorated with antiques. The whole aesthetic is wonderful and the planting around the pool and grounds is amazing. The WiFi is super fast. The food was incredible - a highlight of our stay. Most of all the room was the best room we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. It was so cosy with all the cushions and blankets. Tastefully decorated with local artwork. The aircon was super quiet and nicely cold. Great shower and wonderful toiletries.

There was one day where there was no power from 10 til 6. We’re weren’t proactively told about this and if we had been we would have planned our day differently. Ie gone out for an excursion. But as it was we planned a couple of rest days and not having aircon on this whole was a pain as we wanted to rest in the room. The manager should perhaps have forewarned us. The food is incredible and the dinner setting is fabulous overlooking the small pond with atmospheric lighting but we were not sure on drinks. The property could perhaps have a drinks menu with prices so people can choose or understand if they can bring their own.

Amazing villa with amazing staff. Very beautifully decorated and cozy. Maybe the best breakfast I’ve had. Recommend

A bit off location with a lot of wild animals (positive or negative)

The staff were amazing. Jan and I felt as though we were in paradise, away from the frenetic atmosphere of Yala. Food and attention to detail was exemplary.

There were no problems

This was the highlight of my month in Sri Lanka - I have been staying at a new accommodation every three or so nights and Treasure Rock was incredible and far superior to anywhere else. You HAVE to stay here if you are lucky enough to have the chance. The most stellar element of this place is the staff. Fawmy is an incredible chef and absolutely spoiled me with delicious food that was better than many of the restaurants I have eaten at throughout my trip. Everyone is kind, generous, helpful, friendly and genuine in wanting to make your stay special. And they succeeded! I loved staying here so much I booked an extra four nights because I didn’t want to leave. The mattress is comfortable, bedding is beautiful and everything is spotlessly clean. This property itself is stylish and thoughtfully furnished and designed. It is in a great location, right opposite the beach, close enough to the necessary services but removed enough that it is quiet and tranquil. Furthermore, when I was unwell the lovely team went above and beyond to help me, providing breakfast even when I had slept through ‘til the afternoon, making up my bed with fresh sheets almost daily since I sweated through them with a fever, and even dropped off the occasional juice or king coconut in the afternoon as a surprise, without any prompt - they just made an extra effort daily. When I am back in Sri Lanka,staying at this place is a priority for me and it should be for you too.

Absolutely stunning property, extremely tasteful and original furniture and decor. Grounds are lovely. Staff exceptional as was the food. Amazing, highly recommended.

I would like to share my experience at Treasure Rock. It was my first staying in villa’s type hotel and it’s absolutely amazing! The staff is very polite and kind, always here to help, top service! The food is delicious and not very spicy, enormous portions. The director of the hotel is a really nice lady! She organized us a free ride to the waterfalls. The villa is a masterpiece, so stylish! 10 out of 10! Swimming pool is clean and very useful considering big ocean’s weaves. Nearby there is the Yala Park with exotic animals and beautiful mountains. I recommend this villa to those who really wants to stay away from big cities, it’s so calm and peaceful. However words are not enough to describe this magnificent place, you have to discover it by yourself!

Room and poolside were nice looking and comfortable. If you like remote place with nice decoration, this is nice.

Staff did not speak enough english and seemed like to be a little lost and not professional at all. Also promised to organise safari and transportation, but started to do it only when asked if it was arrengaged. Food is a matter of taste, but this did not make the trick for us. Staff was helpfull and did their best though. Remote location. Not options to eat anywhere else and did not serve alcohol. Price and value did not meet so well.
