I did not stay here while in Kirinda due to limited space (the owner and I connected on Whatsapp and he helped in finding me another property nearby) but most of the people in my group did. I wanted to write a review based on my experience with the property and the communication with the host when they realized that they were double booked. We had dinner for 16 there and it was amazing. The Host family is great and the property is in an amazing location. My friends that stayed there loved it. It’s a little bit more expensive than some of the other options but from what I could see it’s worth it!

Incredible accomodation, amazing food, lovely people and awesome swimming pool & garden. Really close to beautiful beach. This is def one of the greatest locations to relax and enjoy Sri Lanka.

We had the property to ourselves for three out of four nights and it was idyllic. Tons of wildlife, great pool and lounging area. Our host Sampath was attentive and helpful. Breakfasts and evening meals fantastic. The communal areas were beautiful and very stylish. Sampath organised Yala safari and Bundala bird watching . Both were great.

Spoilt when another couple arrived and needed disco music accompanying them wherever they were including in their bedroom at midnight, but you can’t blame the property or Sampath for their taste in 80s disco!

Beautiful old Sri Lankan house sympathetically modernised and stylishly decorated. Excellent swimming pool and nice garden. Wonderful, considerate staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious.

Proximity of multi storey building. There was no name to identify the property so we had a little difficulty finding it.

The house is located in a secluded garden with a lovely pool. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The Sri Lankan food was delicious and the service by the staff excellent!

The best thing about Treasure Rock is its scenic location. It’s like retreating to a page of Burnett’s The Secret Garden, where the outdoors combines wild beauty and blissful solitude, with occasional peacock cries to bring you back from daydreaming. With al fresco dining of candle-lit dinners, continental breakfasts and local-style lunches, my partner and I had the absolute best time here. Friendly staff always at our service made our holiday so comforting, and even arranged a safari to visit the Yala National Park, making it one of the top highlights of our stay.

Well, nothing at all! Our stay was such a luxurious and personalised experience that we only wished it were longer 😊

My recent stay at Treasure Rock was a genuine revelation. Tucked away in Kirinda's breathtaking landscapes, this retreat offers an unparalleled blend of natural beauty and warm hospitality. The moment I stepped onto the property, I was embraced by a sense of tranquility, and calmness. The accommodations seamlessly merged modern comfort with local charm, and the staff's sincere warmth made me feel like a cherished guest. Dining outside in nature was one of my favourite things to do at Treasure besides having plenty of dips in the pool. The staff was kind enough to arrange us a safari to Yala and made sure we had an excellent time. Overall escaping the buzzling city to calm and serene Treasure Rock was exactly what I needed both mentally and physically.
