We liked everything

First time visiting Sodwana - family reunion (of sorts) just before christmas. The town is unique, with it's own sort of charm. The beach was never too busy, and once we worked out the tides, lots of fun for the whole family (4yr-67yrs). We took advantage of the two "big" rooms to sleep 11 of us. The big selling point on the rooms was the A/C and it worked a charm to make sleep a comfortable non-issue. Beds were comfortable. Shower pressure was amazing. Fridges and freezers worked well (once down to temperature). The staff came through discretely each morning and swept up all the sand and made the beds. All great. The shared kitchen facilities were well provisioned and constantly cleaned. We were never wanting. We took advantage of onsite laundry on our last day, paid a premium but worth it to us for the convenience of going home mostly clean. The pool was great and easily accommodated our boisterous kids without feeling like we were too annoying to the kid-less adults. We did the quad bike tour with the whole family. Slightly long for the littlest kids, but most everyone else came away smiling and filthy. I only wish there was more time spent at the destination (lake), which was beautiful, and less time on the bike.

We had a great stay, and camp Jonathan met our needs. The following a minor, suggested, improvements. The only real gripe with the accommodations was the lack of storage space. We (my mom!) packed and prepped food for a month long stay (4 nights booked) and there just was nowhere to put it all. Not to mention luggage and beach "stuff". We are probably a unique/extreme use case, but I think a problem simply improved with some additional shelving. Always a problem with a beach stay, but we were overflowing with wet towels and bathing suits that we ended up sprawling over the common area (which essentially became our area). The owner didn't indicate any issue with this - but, some dedicated clothes lines out of the way would be a welcome addition.

The bathrooms were relatively clean, which was nice. The fridge worked which was a bonus.

The venue itself was fine but not what was depicted in the photos that were sent. The rooms were vastly different to what was advertised which was massively disappointing. Most rooms have kettles - not true. The dive gear clean up station had no water supply, so what's the point. There was a sharp pole sticking out the pool that was eventually covered again - no ideal. The pool wasnt very clean either.
