What a hidden gem! I absolutely loved my stay at Barberry Hill. Facilities are top-notch and it is only a short drive in to Stratford for the restaurants. Hosts were very friendly. Views from the room towards Taranaki Maunga were insane at both sunrise and sunset. Breakfast was excellent, loved the eggs! There is a log fire for heating, I found it best to light in the mornings and the room would then stay warm enough the entire day. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here for adventures around Taranaki, or just to rest!

L'accueil par la propriétaire est très convivial.et chaleureux. L'appartement, immense, très propre, au calme, est très, très bien équipé. La literie est confortable. La vue sur Taranaki Mount est extraordinaire. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel.

Sehr gut ausgestattete Lodges mit tollem Blick in die Landschaft rundum. Etwas außerhalb gelegen, ist aber mit dem Auto kein Problem. Nach Stratford sind es 5 Minuten mit dem Auto.

Amazing location and view. Loved the accommodation especially the dining table and kitchen. Brilliant for cooking and sharing our evening meals with our 2 travelling companions who stayed in the other unit. The log burner was lovely.

Unfortunately it turned very cold.
