Great location! Right in the middle of all the action. But tucked away down a quiet street.

Self check-in was easy. Getting into the property required a code for the main door and one for the room. The place was very quiet. The washer in the room was convenient but it couldn’t dry. The bathroom was spacious and the room had a drying rack. AC worked.

The bathroom smelled of strong cigarette smoke when we checked-in. The mattress was very hard and I could feel the bumps inside. I’m not sure if it’s an old mattress of if it’s Japanese style like a tatami.

LOVED the layout, rooms size, and location.

I wish they could have held our bags! :(

Really good place, small but had absolutely everything, it's impressive how they can make such a complete room with a small space, I feel like one could easily live there.

Everything was new and the cleanness. The little garden as well.

We loved the location- walking distance to tourist sites and metro stations, but tucked away on a pretty quiet street. The washing machine, shower and kitchen amenities were really useful and new the space was quite large! Everything was in great condition. The hosts were phenomenal communicators and had an extensive electronic guide they shared the day before checkin. Check-in was seamless with an electronic keypad.

The only thing that could be improved is the mattress. It was quite hard and uncomfortable.

The location was perfect and very quiet. Close to all Gion attractions and walking distance to Nishiki markets. Facilities were new and very clean. The only downside was the hard beds.

The beds were too hard, it was like sleeping on a dining table.
