HOTEL SUHAANA

This hotel is a great find in terms of comfort and convenience. Though it has practically 0 nightlife scene. It’s in a quieter area, which makes it perfect for travelers looking for a more peaceful stay while still being well-connected. Everything from the facilities to the overall vibe was spot on.

The only small quality-of-life suggestion I’d make is to add dedicated towel hooks or racks. Currently, you have to use the big clothes hangers provided, which can take up unnecessary walking space. Otherwise, there's not much bad things.

Great accommodation with everthing you need (small kitchenette, hot plate, fridge and even a washing machine). Perfect location right in the Gion district. There was no staff there but was easy to communicate over messaging and had zero issues - I would definitely stay again!

Amenities were fantastic! We had a mini laundry machine in the room which was a bonus! Also had a tiny kitchenette which was so nice.

Location was challenging to find since they renamed the hostel. Otherwise it was an amazing stay, cannot complain!

Hotel was well organized. You don't meet any staff but you receive all information by message (chack in, rules, etc). The room is clean and had everything we needed.

I stayed at Hotel Suhaana Kyoto for five nights. The hotel is very close to Kiyomizo-Gojo station, but, more importantly, it is close to many of Kyoto's highlights in the Higashiyama area. The accommodation itself was well equipped with a kitchen and ensuite bathroom. The correspondence with staff was also fantastic as they provide you with all the necessary information and were flexible to accommodate an extra day's stay for me with minimal hassle. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Kyoto.

It is very easy to access, quiet, in a nice neighborhood, well kept, and clean.

The beds are very hard, which didn’t work at all for my husband. They do not have toppers or alternative mattresses. We did a lot of research and purchased a softer mattress at Nitori for about ¥20,000. The hotel charged us a ¥2,000 disposal fee to get rid of it for us after our stay. All in all it was okay, and still less than forfeiting our entire payment and finding another hotel for our entire stay.
