Couscous Glamping Manazuru - Ocean View BBQ Stay near Hakone

I was in Japan for the first time as a solo traveller and had such a lovely stay at Couscous. The glamping set-up is first class, the food is delicious, the location is beautiful and it’s a great way to visit the surrounding area (Hakone, Fugi 5 lakes etc), especially if you have a car. A special mention for Takeshi, Arisa, Shigeki & Stephane (the Couscous team) who were brilliant and helped me with everything from restaurant and site seeing recommendations, to ensuring I was very comfortable at Couscous. Arigatou gozaimashita! Mata Aimasho.

This is the second time I’ve been here this year. After I loved it here so much in April I came back with my wife. We had an absolute ball and my wife who is as total foodie loved the breakfast and dinners. They’re a bit pricey but totally worth it. Some of the best food we had on our trip. The hospitality is absolutely top notch and I hope to come back again.

We had an absolutely perfect stay over the weekend here! It's a lovely, cozy little place with a few tents, great facilities, and lovely staff. The tents were super comfortable with large cozy beds and a space heater for the cold night, and the dinner, including our extra purchases of apple pie and a bottle of wine, were carefully selected and prepared, delicious and good value for money. One of the best little getaways we've had in a while, and we'd love to come back 🙂

Cleanliness, stunning toilet and bathroom facilities, friendly staff, good choice of food and drinks on the menu. Plan to visit with friends again !!

One request-if the toilets can have hooks for hanging belongings like purses etc.

Amazing people, well thought out and executed hospitality experience. Overall great spot in a cool little fishing village.

We stayed 3 nights at the glamping and had a wonderful time! The staff is so kind and helpful. The tents are very big with comfortable beds and everything in it and on the veranda to make your stay a great experience. The shared restrooms are very clean and comfortable too. And last but not least, the menu gives you sufficient choice for a lovely diner on the veranda at night with a nice glas of wine. We highly recommend the Couscous glamping and thank the staff for the wonderful experience they gave us!

I loved everything about Cous Cous, so great to get out in the fresh air,away from cities and enjoy your surroundings. Staff were super helpful and friendly . Next time we go back we will stay longer . Thank you again Cous Cous
