The best home stay. I had the pleasure of staying at Greenview Home stay, Kovalam with my family on 28-29 June 2024, and I can confidently say it was one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. We stayed in a family room, there are two rooms (a bedroom and a children's room). From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and instantly at ease. The homestay is perfectly situated walkable distance from Kovalam Beach (Hawwa beach) and providing a peaceful area. There are also great restaurants nearby (about 400m) viz. “Taste of Kerala” and “Punjabi Daba. The hosts, Shri Sreekumar and Smt. Sushama, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the local area, offering great recommendations for places to visit and dine. Their genuine care and kindness made me feel like a part of their family. The building is brand new and well built and maintained. The room was very good, spacious, neat & clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities. There is plenty of light and ventilation. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The homestay offers excellent facilities, including a common dining room with electric kettle, water purifier and free Wi-Fi. The homemade breakfast was very delicious. They provide as Appam and Vegetable stew as breaakfast. They will provide only homemade vegetarian foods. What truly sets this homestay apart is the authentic and personal experience it offers. It feels like our home and hosts are our parents. This homestay is ideal for all type of travelers (solo, female, group travelers, family etc.) There are 4 twin rooms of which 2 are A/c., one single room and a family room can accommodate 4 or 6 persons (two separate rooms inside which is ideal for family with two children or group of travelers less than 6 Nos.

Everything are excellent.

Cleanliness of rooms are exceptional, Good furnished rooms, food (Breakfast) taste & freshness same like from our home & also caring about us like our parents.

Uncle and Aunty are very warm people and made their best efforts to make us feel comfortable.The breakfast served by aunty was delicious. They are very loving towards our kids.Wish we could stay more. Will recommend to friends and family.

THE OWNERS Red flag one: We informed them about our arrival which was around 12:30 am in the midnight. We were exhausted tired with the driving & heat yet the owner expected us to sit like school kids to fill forms & pay him before he could let us in to our rooms to relax. I mean these things could have been handled the next day or in our room but he even made the ladies sit like school kids in the middle of the night without offering any water or giving us the room to relax or use washroom. We have travelled all over the world & there is a decency every hotel or Airbnb or homestay owner has to know how to treat their guests except them. 2nd: Without being invited the owners came & sat around us during our morning breakfast interrupting out conversations. Reason was to try and convince us to give them good reviews by badmouthing other guests who have stayed there & gave them reviews based on their experiences. I mean if they could so easily badmouth them they could do it for anyone. They spoke badly about their Russian guests & others & I know many Russians who love India and Indias culture. If we gave these owners many chances and yet they troubled us during our stay then all I can say is they need to check themselves and not harass their guests for reviews without provding the hospitality they need to. 3rd: We extended our stay & were very busy exploring the city but it always felt they would sit right next to the door to interrupt you & ask you question where are you going and other nosy stuffs which is really annoying. It's not a college hostel that they have to keep an eye on their guests. Let them be. 4th: We were all ready to visit the famous temple in the morning around 4 am & to our surprise the owners are awake again. Let us be clear we have not check out but the owners ask for money for the room at 4 am. I mean are you serious?
