The staff were welcoming and accommodating to our requests. We did enjoy the food provided. Day 2 dinner and Day 3 breakfast was very good.

Honestly the property itself doesn’t have much to offer. The onsen isn’t fantastic, it is very small. If you do come to Beppu, I would recommend going to Myoban Onsen and Hyotan Onsen. Both of these 2 onsens are near to the property by car, which is a plus. Take note, while the size of the room may seem large, it is actually not very big. The eating area table is where you sleep. There is no separate space for eating and sleeping. After dinner, they will keep the table to the side and set up your futon bed in that same area. For a family of 3 staying in the room, it is very cramped. We had a total of 3 big luggages and 1 small luggage, so you can imagine we didn’t have much space to walk especially when we opened up our luggages. The 3 futons were in the centre of the room, the dining table at one end of the room and our luggages on the other end. We were only left with the peripheral to walk, sometimes needing to step on our futon beds to walk across. The toilet in the room is also very cramped, there are also no wall hooks to hang your towels etc. The default set up in the room is basically just the dining table with 3 chairs. So if you come back early in the afternoon to rest, you only have that dining table to sit at, or you can sit at the balcony area which has 2 chairs. You can’t have a nap on your bed since it is kept and will only be set up at night. I think if you are a family of 3 and above, I wouldn’t recommend this place because of the space. Also if you are looking for a place where you can relax and lounge in the room, this is not really a suitable place.

Das Ryokan hat eine gute Lage direkt am Haruki Fluss und bietet eine beeindruckende Atmosphäre und Ausstattung. Der Service war fantastisch und das Essen war wirklich ein tolles Erlebnis. Die drei privaten Onsen waren abwechslungsreich gestaltet und sind bis spät abends zugänglich. Das private semi-außen Onsen im Zimmer war eine tolle Erfahrung. Das Zimmer war wirklich wunderschön gestaltet. Die Erfahrung ist das Geld absolut wert!

We loved everything about this ryokan! The room, the onsen, the food, and the service were all excellent. We felt as if we were staying in a 5-star hotel with very attentive and considerate hospitality. The generous and delicious kaiseki dinners and the abundant teishoku breakfasts were a highlight. This is truly a place where you can eat well and completely relax.

What an amazing 1st Ryokan experience! I'm so glad we booked Bettei Haruki after hours of research for a small, traditional Japanese Ryokan with an in-room onsen/hot springs bath, tatami floors, comfortable futons and in-room kaseiki dinner and teishoku breakfast. The room was just what I was looking for and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were amazing and the food was perfection! Our meals were generous with a great variety of dishes showcasing local ingredients. We booked the Nazuna which had a nice little patio and the hot springs bath was just the right size for Hubby and I. One of the most memorable stays we've had!

The ryokan is far from the main area of Beppu and the Hells, which we didn't mind as we enjoyed the walks. With dinner and breakfast included, we didn't really need to worry about food so it was perfect for us!

地點稍偏，步行附近無景點。

직원들도 너무 친절하고 식사도 맛있었습니다. 제가 갔을때는 매우 더운 날씨라 힘들긴 했지만 지옥온천도 걸어갈 수 있는 거리였어요! 내부도 청결하고 티비로 유튜브를 틀 수 있어서 시간을 보내기 좋았습니다. 조식 가져다 주신 직원분이 추천해주신 라멘집도 방문했는데 아주 맛있었습니다 :)

프라이빗탕이 없는 객실에 묵었다 보니 가족탕을 이용했는데 직원이 준비중이라는 팻말이 계속 놓여있어서 들어가야하나 말아야하나 한참 기다렸어요ㅠ 밤에는 탕에서 정원뷰가 보이지는 않았습니다
