Maimara Hotel

Our stay at Maimara Hotel was amazing. The hosts are incredibly friendly and communicative; they are there to answer any questions you may have. The breakfast was delicious (especially the coffee) and the views amazing. The hotel is about a fifteen minute walk from the main downtown (and touristy) area of Huaraz, but the neighborhood is quiet and safe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Maimara Hotel!

Staff were excellent, rooms were so wonderful and tidy. Whole place just had an incredible energy to it, we stayed for ten whole days and extended our stay because we love it so much. Felt totally safe too. Beautiful hotel, we were very lucky to get the chance to stay here. And the breakfast was 10/10 everyday!

I probably don't have enough room in this box to describe all that we liked about this place because we LOVED EVERYTHING about our stays here!! It was so easy to connect with them through WhatsApp before we even flew out, and any questions or concerns I had were immediately replied to. (English is spoken by Piero, btw) We ended up booking all 3 of our stays here, and we were truly sad we couldn't stay longer. Everything from the architecture of the building, to the kind and generous owners, to the comfort of the beds, to the delightful breakfast every morning with the incredible views! 😀 It all just made for a completely wonderful experience!!!! We are beyond happy to recommend Maimara to anyone and everyone going to Peru, and we are truly looking forward to our next stay when we return to Huaraz again!

We loved everything about this hotel!! It is even more stunning than in the pictures and the welcoming feeling of this place in unmatched 😀 It truly feels warm and comfortable - like home! Wonderful owners clearly take pride in their property, and their hospitality is incredible. We definitely very highly recommend staying here!!

Very friendly hosts - the young manager spoke great English. The bed was good and the room nice enough. New bed sheets and towels. The hotel inside looked very nice - wooden decoration etc.

Most annoying thing is that the hotel is always locked - so you have to ring the bell to get in or out of the hotel and that can take a while for staff to come to open the door. The hotel has 5 levels - it is a lot of up and down...for guests and the hotel staff to come down to open the door for you. It is not very central and you need a tuktuk to get to town. Quite a walk to the next restaurant. Quite expensive for what you get. Not good value. We changed hotel after 3 days - payed less than half and had a better included breakfast and no more waiting for someone to open the door.

We loved our stay at the Maimara Hotel!! It was truly exceptional service and really made us feel at home! Our first night here, we had just traveled nearly 24 hours, and we were hungry. It was late, yet the owners went out of their way to get us the pizza we asked for. Family owned and operated, the building is so nice, clean, and well-maintained. The views from the rooftop dining room are wonderful ✨️ We love it so much that we booked the remainder of our stays throughout the month here. 😀

Such a lovely hotel - with the kindest owners. Nice location in a quieter part of the city - but still within walking distance to everything. Breakfast was great (and the view from the breakfast room is amazing!)
