Vermilion Inn

Property needs maintenance. Hole in sheetrock due to water damage in bath. Advertised laundry out of order. 5 gallon buckets at pool. Others....

I would not recommend this motel. The staff was nice though. I told them that there were many ants climbing up the bathtub. They sent someone to my room. I showed him where the ants were coming through the wall. He wiped the ants up with a wash cloth and left. Nothing more was done. Of course more ants came through. The bathroom was filthy. It looked like the tub had not been cleaned through several guests, and there was dry urine around the base of the toilet. The furniture was dusty. There were many more problems, but I won't continue. I have never left a review before, but this was too disgusting to leave alone.

One towel for two people. Toilet and bathtub were dirty. There were no cups. The mattresses were concave and stained. The person helping at breakfast was wearing pjs and no shoes.

Bed cover still has a spot so I couldn't sleep

Bathroom was unclean. Sink handle broken. Plastic tables outside very cracked and broken. Bed was comfortable.

The bed was good. The motel is older and not remodeled! Cracks on walls, floor different levels, shower has black mold around the shower wall/tub area. Only waffles, toast and coffee for breakfast basically. No proteins. This is a place to rest. If you are going to be gone all day like we were. It’s a place to rest. It was ok. It needs a major renovation.

Rundown property and parking lot

The fire alarm began chirping at 10:00. Two men came and took turns standing on the luggage wrack with screwdrivers attempting to turn it off. I had to be moved to another room after 45 minutes, I lost an hour of needed sleep.Tried to call front desk initially to report but the phone had no cord, it was useless. No extra toilet paper, no Kleenex, no ice bucket, one very small hand soap bar. The property has crumbling stairwells and the parking lot is the same. The property manager said that Expedia would be contacting me regarding a refund but I haven’t heard from anyone. I would not recommend this property to other travelers.

The rooms were amazingly sound proof. I'd say it was better than I expected for the price point

This place was dirty and run down. Reminded us of the motel in the movie "Vacation", shower stains and all. Sheets looked like they were never changed. I think the cleaning staff was just the manager and his wife. I never complain about cheap run down motels, i just need a cheap place to lay my head with family.... but this place was over the top. Do not stay unless desperate for a cheap room.
