Beza Homestay

The place is like an apartment ontop of the hosts' house. It has two rooms, living / dining space, kitchen and a balcony. The kitchen we were able to use to just make tea and coffee. It's a very clean and comfortable space! We were the only ones staying there at the time, which was nice too. The homestay is nestled in the lanes making it quiet but close enough to walk to resturants and other places in fort kochi. The host was communicative via WhatsApp and came to meet us on the main road when we arrived via taxi from the airport. When we arrived, we had some ginger wine that the host had made which was a lovely touch. Overall, I would recommend a stay here.

When we arrived, the host asked us if we wanted to go to a kathakali performance. Before we had a chance to research, he produced tickets (600 rupees each) this made it quite hard to decline. So I would recommend researching before you arrive so that you can accept or decline. The tickets were front row though, so if it's your thing then it's great!

From the moment I made the booking, Barrid Uncle was in constant touch, making sure everything was perfectly arranged for our trip. He kindly helped us with the pre-booking of Kathakali tickets and even secured front-row seats as I had requested. He went above and beyond by offering us his bicycle free of cost in case we needed a way to explore the area. Upon arrival, he made us feel completely at home. Our room was cozy, clean, and came with a spotless washroom. We had full access to the balcony, and he was always available with thoughtful suggestions on where to eat, what to see, and what to avoid—making our experience so much richer. He truly took care of our belongings and comfort throughout the stay. On our last day, he even offered us a taste of the homemade wine prepared by his wife, which was a lovely personal touch. Thanks to his warmth and hospitality, our trip became much more memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Kochi—it's incredibly well-located near all the key attractions in Fort Kochi and offers real value. I’m already looking forward to coming back soon!

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Barrid runs a beautiful homestay which he keeps spotlessly clean at all times. The architecture is tasteful and bright. It was a delight to wake up and have a coffee on the balcony in the morning! Barrid is also a very kind man who goes out of his way to make his guests’ stays pleasant. If I come back to Fort Kochi I’d stay here again no doubt! Thanks Barrid!
