Clean and spacious place.

The apartment was right on the bend of a very busy street. You can hear cars zooming by constantly. There is a pretty church nearby and the bells chiming every morning at 6:30am . There are locals that live in the building . One had a motor cycle parked under the front window and would wake us up every morning at 6 am . You could hear the tenants above us walking around and getting up from chairs. Great place but if you wanted a restful sleep, this is not a place to choose. We did some of our own cooking and it would have been nice to have a few more utensils and frying pans along with a bigger espresso maker. The espresso machine only made coffee for 2 people and we were 4. Also the shower was a decent size however the hot water flow was not consistent. As you are taking a shower you would get streams of very hot then cold … this seems to be typical of places down here . Parking is on the street no designated area to park but we always found a spot near by.

Everything was perfect

Quiet street level newly remodeled apt with comfortable beds. Shower and bathroom were very nice. Dishwasher and washing machine worked great!

IF YOU HAVE A CAR…plenty of street parking. Will need app to pay for parking downtown. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CAR…two bus stops are six minutes walk but with infrequent buses and some don’t run on Sunday. It’s a 30 min walk uphill from train station or the downtown area up to the apt.

Our host, Allessandro, went above and beyond what you'd expect. The apartment was newly and tastefully renovated. We loved staying in Reggio Calabria and we felt very welcome wherever we went. You must visit and when you do be sure to go to Alessandro's restaurant, Lievito!!
