Delmar Hostal

although the place is simple it was one of our favorite accommodations so far. Delmar might be the kindest host we’ve met. He is so caring that I have no words and he prepares the best breakfast with lots of love. highly recommend this place!

Best host, super friendly, trustworthy and kind. Will give you lots of tips. Prepares delicious brekfast and adapts it to your needs. Possibility of cheap bike and kayak rental. You will definitely want to stay longer:)

Nothing really.although some improvements for comfort could be done.

We had a really great time at Delmar's, with Delmar!!! He cooked us awesome breakfast on each morning, and told us so much about local/Maya traditions, Mexico and so on, we spent hours chatting! 😊👌We could also chill on the terrace or by the swing, lend the bikes and he gave us great tips about what to do around Bacalar. Muchas gracias, amigo! 😉

Only thing where I have a suggestion: mosquito nets by the beds!

the lady who worked there was very nice and very friendly. she even made breakfast for us early one day because we had to leave early. the breakfast was also very nice. simple but tasty. there is an amazing grill restaurant a few doors away.

we had booked this as previous reviews said how helpful and great delmar was so we had hoped he would help us with some trips but we did not even meet him once. the rooms are not proper rooms, just ply wood to box off each area which means that there is a lot of noise and a lot of light. although staff so lovely we had the worst nights sleep here as you can hear every cough and word spoken from other travellers plus constant dog barking and light from sunrise. also misleading and confusing as advertised as tent and there are no tents but this wasn’t clearly communicated.
