Victoria Avenue Apartments

We had a wonderful stay at these apartments in Bucharest. The location is fantastic – it's a quiet place yet very close to the old city, where you can find a great variety of bars and restaurants. The apartment itself was impeccably clean, which we greatly appreciated. We also loved the charming old-style design of the apartment, which added a unique and cozy touch to our stay. Thank you for a great experience. We look forward to coming back!

It was in a great location! We loved being so close to Bucharest’s old town. The apartment was clean and it had a great view overlooking the river. We had air conditioning, warm water, and never felt unsafe.

After a long day of travel (plane from the US, a day in Paris, back on a plane, spending an hour at the car rental, then driving a half hour) we were exhausted and it did take a few minutes to find street parking and to read through all the instructions to get into the apartment. I guess I turned the key twice when I locked up for the night which then made the door stick so I had trouble getting out of the apartment the next day. I called and the man gave me clear instructions on how to get out but not before he made sure to tell me I must have turned the key twice; he said it was in my instructions (which were very lengthy & they don’t send those out until the day of). I would suggest sending the lengthy instructions a day or two in advance and the paperwork w our passport information ahead of time; that is the last thing people want to do after a full day of travel.

We found a few small cockroaches including a dead one on the bed (beneath a pillow). We updated the property manager but didn't receive any help or cleaning services to address it.

WiFi didn’t work but not a deal breaker.

Very good location. Its literally a short stroll to the old town and to the Palace of Parliament. The owner communicated very well before and after the stay as well. The apartment felt like a home away from home.

Needed more towels and shampoo sachets. Also, the batteries in the remote and AC seemed like they need to be replaced. That was my only real complaint.

The location is great, the property is lovely and it was really clean.

The bedroom that opens into the balcony smelled like cigarette smoke, so not a smoke free property. And some chairs in the living room have pins falling off.

Location is good. Directions to receive the key was clear.

Self service key box was very difficult to open. I spent at least 10 minutes when I check in and check out. Also, not providing 2nd toilet paper was not good. Is it so expensive to put a few extra toilet paper rolls?
