The location was quiet and clean. the rooms are large with very good quality facilities, from the washroom amenities, the size of the television, wifi et cetera. The staff were friendly.

A power outage on two consecutive days affected the water supply. That was the low moment of our stay. The pool is rather small for an adult.

Loved the pool and the fact that they have band on Saturdays.

Breakfast wasn’t part of my room but I enjoyed the food I ordered for breakfast.

Decent…. It’s in an area that’s hard to find for most people. But it wasn’t a bad area.

Flying insects. The food wasn’t great.

I did not take breakfast because a lot of food was served at tea time during the meeting. Again, I was not aware that the payment that I made through bookin.com did not include breakfast.

There is nothing that I didn't like about the place

During my stay there was a band that plays music as part the entertainment program (am not sure if this is routine/regular because my stay was 1 night). This turns out to be an noise problem for those who opt for early rest/sleep.

A boutique haven of calm from the hustle and bustle of Mombasa and the madding crowds of the nearby resort beach hotels. Small, but well appointed, Makaazi is a tranquil oasis during the week, while the weekend includes a welcome, live band and more visitors to the bar and restaurant. All the staff are exceptionally attentive and helpful, special thanks to Purity and Simon. If you tire of the peaceful garden and pool and relaxed bar, you can easily access the frenetic facilities and beautiful Nyali beach at/through the nearby resort complexes (Voyager is approx 100m away - direct lost taxi drivers to Voyager and then follow the sign to Makaazi). Highly recommended
