Isolation et équipements inexistants

We stayed here 3 nights and got the middle room. The room was okay, small, simple and clean, with a working fan and AC. There were 2 towels and one small soap bar in the bathroom. Toilet paper was displayed outside for every room to take based on the need. No other toiletries were provided. Upon arrival we received two small bottles of water (later not anymore), which was a nice gesture. The breakfast was simple and good. Mango smoothie was delicious, we just unfortunately received one full of ants (probably the fruit was contaminated and they didn’t notice). They also helped us quickly arrange a tuktuk (someone from the family) for 50k kip after my partner got sick and couldn’t walk back to the port. There was their cat that wanted to jump on our lap during the first breakfast time and we appreciated they noticed we didn’t like how persistantly the cat was trying to get something from us, so they called it away. The terrace gets the evening sun, it was nice but too hot for us to sit there (on a chair or in hammock) in the afternoon. But it’s was pleasant in the morning when eating breakfast. We paid partially in US dollars, and they would not accept bills that we had received elsewhere in Laos because they were folded in half and had a small crease. While we understood their reasoning, we found it unusual that Lao kip was accepted regardless of its condition, whereas US dollars had to be in perfect shape. We were able to resolve the situation, and the couple running the guesthouse kindly offered us free eggs and coffee the next morning, which was a very thoughtful gesture.

The bathroom sink does not connect fully to the drain; instead, the pipe ends directly underneath the sink, causing the water from the sink to flow onto the floor. For a two-night stay this was okay (aside from the annoyance of toothpaste dripping onto the floor), especially since the shower is set up in a similar way. However, while being sick and vomiting, having a constantly wet toilet floor, and sink that needed frequent use wetting it additionally with each use, became impractical. We did not expect this, but for other guests’ information: the room was not cleaned, rubbish was not emptied, and towels were not changed during our stay. We did not need these services during our stay and therefore did not request them, so I assume they are provided upon request. For $35 per night, some additional basic amenities would have been appreciated, such as toiletries, a small bottle of water daily, or a kettle to heat water along with two cups. Being able to heat water (even without tea or coffee provided) would be especially helpful when sick.

Ubicación perfecta. Todo muy limpio. Terraza con muy buenas vistas

Super great location to see the sunset. Not far from the main area. If you like quietness this is a perfect place. The place is clean, love the AC/ Fan combo. Good host. They have bicycles for rent and restaurant. We only order breakfast and it was good.

Nice view to the river but moved to a better set up hotel for 2 USD cheaper per night

No glass in windows, just decorative metal bars therefore to protect yourself from Mosquitos you have to close the wooden shutters. There are gaps around the shutters and when closed the room is then dark Silly rule about handing your room key in if leaving. Makes no sense to me so I didn't. Very noisy, can hear through shiplap wood covered walls easy. Many noisy boats running up and down river. Pillows way too high, had to use my rolled up hoodie as a pillow This time of year access to the property is via muddy track

Buena ubicación, la terraza una monada con las hamacas encima del Mekong. El personal muy servicial y comida rica. Las camas cómodas.

En baño, el tubos del lavabo no tenía un desagüe como tal, todo lo que caía por el lavabo, iba al suelo del baño. Y el grifo de la ducha, había dos grifos; uno de agua caliente (muy caliente) y otro de fría, y te tenías que duchar con dos alcachofas. Lo que es el baño era incómodo, pero por lo que pagas, es lo que hay .

Frühstück und Abendessen wurde nach Wunsch zubereitet, sehr lecker. Ein perfekter Ort, um den Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse zu genießen, sehr freundliche Betreiber.
