- extremely friendly family, very welcoming and accommodating. We were able to get breakfast and lunch, rent bikes and buy water bottles - while modest, the room has all the necessary comfort: hot shower with good pressure, A/C and fan, large bed with comfy pillows, many electric plugs, and several ways to hang clothes. - The view and environment was relaxing, very scenic

Very kind people who run the place with the best view on the river for sunset! The bungalows are very clean and comfortable, and the hammocks are great. You can also order food here for a reasonable price. Definitely stay here!

Sometimes the bathroom had a bad smell, but this is not uncommon in Laos. Definitely not because it was not clean because everything was spotless!

A lovely property and great rooms with AC!! The hammocks were such a nice touch to chill in during the day. A great location and there’s bicycles to rent to get you around the island. Very friendly family that make you feel nice and at home :) would stay again!!!!

Great homestay with a very kind and attentive family. Working Aircon and fan in the room, great to have the hammocks outside the room and be able to enjoy the great Menkong sunsets from there. This is for you if you want to support the local community and are not too fussed about sleeping too close to nature.

Namknong View is a gem! The owners are super friendly and make you feel right at home. The view over the lake is absolutely beautiful—so peaceful and relaxing. Plus, the food is delicious! A perfect place to unwind and enjoy great hospitality. Highly recommend!

We loved the beautiful views, lovely staff, and the nice cheap food available. The bathroom was a little old but overall the place had a very friendly and relaxed vibe. Hosts were always smiling and happy to help out. Bike rental was also very convenient. 👌

Pros - great spot along the riverfront, Friendly owner Cons - the bed is rock hard and desperately needs a mattress pad. We felt the price was quite expensive (most we paid in Laos), but it could have been bc we booked last minute as it seemed on par with other places in the area.
